I wanted to suggest something be put in the Blueseum on RIchard Pratt?

I haven't checked the site - so there may well be something there and I wasn't sure if a Bio or something of Dick would be OK for the Blueseum or not....

A small tribute here with links to Mr Pratt's bio page as well.

Another more detailed article is being worked on at the moment and should appear on the site soon.

We're about to hit our 250,000th view of the HomePage - very exciting for us.

Add the 14,000 or so other items (pages, pictures etc.) and our little history site has come a long way!

We've got a new entry into the Top 100 pages on site; interestingly of all the current players, it is young Shaun Hampson after only 16 games who has appeared in the top 100. Hampson is the 8th current player in the top 100 after Murphy, Fevola, Gibbs, Houlihan, Judd, Walker and Carrazzo.

Just noticed this pic on the front page of the Blueseum. Classic!

Image

Man those glasses are big!

I used to have a copy of the Blues News that pic is originally from. I unfortunately don't have any of them any more, I would kill to have them back. I used to love getting them in the mail, and they would be printed in blue ink and always have these corny photos in them. There's a great one of Matty Allan and Justin Madden when Allan was only 16. And the young players would be profiled. Kouta's hair was funny. He had an earring too then.

Nice one verbs, they don't sell glasses like those anymore!

We have had another scrapbook added to the Blueseum. The scrapbook of the father of a Blueseum regular contributor from 1947.

Well worth a look for two reasons, the details of the first half of the 1947 season and the care with which it was compiled, it was a present from a friend. A great present indeed.

Happy reading.

Hey Jars.....I always hoped "Warby's Scrapbook" would find a place in the Blueseum.....I notice that some of it's pics have disappeared; but I still have all of the reduced hard copies here.

Good idea Warby.

I have created an empty gallery entitled 'Warby's Scrapbook'. Please feel free to upload as many images there as you see fit.

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-browse_gal ... leryId=678

I only ask that the images be 800 pixels wide maximum. This allows for maximum viewing pleasure for Blueseum visitors and saves the server some stress as well.

Jars, on the topic of Blues News, have any been scanned for the blueseum? Like verbs I've got fond memories - would love to see.

I remember the cover of one had Jeff Fenech at PP holding up a Carlton jumper & giving it the big thumbs down. Was just before Fenech fought at PP in the early 90s. Collingwood supporter I think.

One of our contributors has been scanning in stuff from Blues News within broad yearly galleries of Carlton stuff, not Blues News specific.

Would be good to have a specific Blues News archive.

I've only got a few, the one I remember is Alvin, Bradley, Brown and company on the cover in full leather kit and sitting on Harley's.

They don't do publicity like that at Carlton anymore!

Same pic appears on the back inside cover of the History of the Carlton Football Club.

Believe Sticks and possibly Mil Hanna are in the pic as well.

I know I ramble on about the Blueseum, but when you find pics like this, you just have to share them for everyone else.

What do you think is going through Vinnie's mind here?

Can someone please create a new gallery on the Blueseum for the Livestrong jumpers.

I've downloaded all the pics from the eBay page and reckon it'd be worth uploading them all to the Blueseum.

I've already included a generic image, but think a dedicated gallery for the player shots would be great.

Some nice ink for Cloke there. Looks to be a work in progress.

Camelman this is the spot:

I'll link it in with the image gallery menus, the game, and the season.

Cheers

Is there any truth to the legend that Harry Caspar used to keep a book in his socks and check his bets on the scoreboard?

Caspar used to hit the nearest player if his horse lost.

Caspar passed away recently after playing his part in that infamous Coleman incident.

He kept the Football Record in his socks; as did a lot of players.
