Yeah, how would he have predicted Carlton would simply crumble into oblivion in 2009?

Ultimate risk taking in playing all four - Johnson, Russell, Houlihan and Bentley. For mine, you cannot play more than one of these four in any side.

Johnson could not get a game in the Dees best 22 when they have been arguably the worst team in 20 years. So, now he is getting a game ahead of Scotland and Stevens? Someone said it before. Both Scots and Stevo were weak as last week but surely they are better than these inclusions. For Ratts sake, I hope it comes off because if it doesn't, I shudder to think............................

...and the thing is if it doesn't come off you'll have people saying that its not Ratts' fault which is mind boggling.

I have nothing against Bentley as a person and indeed can see the need for a strong body in the middle. BUT:

1. He is as slow as a wet week, we have been exposed for pace, we are coming up against a side which has pace as one of its assets and on a big ground in good conditions;

2. He has shown nothing in the 2s to warrant elevation, he was elevated against Hawthorn without the requisite runs on the board and cost us bigtime;

3. Joey Anderson must be wondering what it takews for him to get a game.

I'll certainly be hoping Bentley tears Freo apart, and if he does all praise to him, but there is simply NO WAY his selection can be justified on exposed form.

Let's get fair dinkum here. We're all p%$%^d off losing to that black and red filth by such a margin, but 2 weeks ago we were flying after nearly knocking off the Saints.
Young team, inexperienced coach - give 'em a chance to settle.

As for onfield direction, I reckon Juddy's doing a fair job but he does need support.

I meant the coaches box

training has been moved from subi to the WACA ( cricket ground with no goalposts ) and no spectators are allowed in apparently

so sorry no training reports

subi curator is worried about the state of the ground

we have had shitloads of rain here in the past week - was sunny today though and meant to be sunny all weekend too

is that it Mr Ratten?

well done.... You are putting the team's chances of making the finals on the line just so that you make a point and take your anger at few Senior players who are your play makers....

who is going to give us the pace? Bentley? or Johnson? what is Russell good at? running? even that he doesnt do....

IF Ratten wanted to make a stand against Senior players, it had to wait for a week. Subiaco is one Ground where both Stevens and Scotland play well, because they run and set up many attacks...

who will Seriously replace their role? The above inclusions?

Again and Again i will say it.. This game will be all left for Judd and Murphy to win it whilst the rest will just watch and do nothing...

Good luck to them

Cloke and Yarran will be wearing red instead of yellow on Sunday, which is also probably the only reason that Stevens is not going to Perth.

The only two players that deserved to be promoted this week going on form were Anderson and Ellard. Both were overlooked. Something stinks.

Not sure what you mean about Stevens by this RR?

what a joke. Bentley...

Still feeling the effects of 2002??? you cannot be serious.

try feeling the effects of senior players who aren't prepared to do the hard things on the field and lead the way for our kids and a coach who is simply not up to the standard required.

Look at Collingwood tonight. smashed the team that made us look foolish a week ago. why? 1. every player was 100% committed and their leaders did exactly that... lead. and 2. because they had a coach that was able to identify how to beat Essendon* and coach his players to carry out those instructions.

With the outs I would have included Hartlett for Fev and brought in Ellard Yarran and Anderson and droped Houlihan

Not Johnson or Bentley
Once again the club have recruited mature age players who are simply not good enough.

Its like the MC are trying to convince themselves that recruiting Bentley and Johnson was som stroke of genious.
Johnson to me comes across as a bit of an egomaniac if the nature of his departure from tweed jacket town is anything to go by
And anyone who has an interest in poker is a worry as well.
Fact is their peformances were ordinary in the twos.
Once again 2 younger players who have deserved to be picked on their form geoverlooked (Anderson and Ellard)
Unbelievable.
I dont have trouble with Russell being picked because he played well last week

Fev should have been dropped. It didnt happen
Houlihan has run out of chances 3 years ago
Once again staggering even given our lack of depth

Look like Clokeys had the comics done on his arm.

BTW, JR's photo isn't a good omen for his prospects.
