Just remember that Bentley's just doing his best and has been lucky enough to be selected.

Get angry with selection, not Greg.

Guys, while we'd all like to see Anderson get a go at some stage, the result of the match is hardly contingent on his presence or otherwise.

And it's reasonable to think that a player picked up from another club (Bentley) is not going to be banished completely from calculations after just the one game. He wasn't great against Hawthorn but it's pretty harsh to decide someone's fate on the basis of one game. Give him a chance.

I'm not angry with Greg and I doubt many are. I reckon Greg himself may even be baffled by this one... Lets hope his role is more clearly defined this time.

Aaarrrggghhhh.... Bentley!!!

Last time we played Freo I had the dubious pleasure of being able to watch the game live at the ground. After the Bentley selection I'm glad I am nowhere near Perth!

With some of these selections, I can only assume that some of the alleged cultural problems at the club may have raised their head again. Scotland wasn't great last weekend, but who was? I think he's been in awesome form more often than not. Browne is a very promising player and was outstanding against St Kilda (Ratts talked up his efforts after that very game). His last game was putrid, but that's where you give him a chance to redeem himself. Bannister played what I can only imagine will be the Bentley-role against St Kilda and did it very well. Yeah he got shown up against the Bombers too, but surely he's a better bet than Bentley? I think the VFL run will do Stevens the world of good. But overall, I am scratching my head. Surely we are better with Scotland, Browne, and Bannister in the team than Bentley, Russell, and Johnson?

I dunno... I'll sit down in front of the tv and keep everything crossed, but overall I don't feel a great deal of confidence.

Well its good to see the usual posters who rubbish individual players are back to their usual best.

It's absolutely pathetic and in some respect borders on slander. Ashamed to support Carlton with supporters like you lot. No wonder talking players was put out to pasture.

I for one hope Bentley and particularly Johnson and Russell play well. They deserve their chance. Lewt's just hope that the MC give them roles to display what they can do. Russell being named on a HBF is a great start and hope he line up there. At the very least he will give you 110% for the whole game. Johnson was recruited for a reason. Up until his injury his form was pretty fair. Unfortunate it has taken him so long to get over it. It was obviously pretty serious (not that his detractors would know.

As for Bentley (not Bently!) a player off the rookie list. Something we have been pretty successful at over the past 3 years. Plus he's still young enough to make an impact.

I hope Stevens and Scotland give it a real red hot go and put pressure on this team. That's where you develop depth.

As for you player rubbishers, take a hike

We're playing Fremantle who have selected a WAFL team.

A win should be expected, but it won't turn around our season and mean as much as our performance against St Kilda and Brisbane.

I can't be stuffed taking an interest in how Bentley and Johnson perform against Fremantle's rookies.

It's all unravelling. As Fev told Brian Lake last year, we Carlton supporters will have front row seats in the crumbling of the 2009 model of Carlton.
No onfield direction and no depth.

x3 For the time being, we're not in a position to demand quality inclusions as we don't have the depth.....yet. Like Pedro, we're still feeling the lingering effects of 2002- and, no, it's not a medical condition. A fact that our "recovery" will take a little longer than some.

Let's get fair dinkum here. We're all p%$%^d off losing to that black and red filth by such a margin, but 2 weeks ago we were flying after nearly knocking off the Saints.
Young team, inexperienced coach - give 'em a chance to settle.

As for onfield direction, I reckon Juddy's doing a fair job but he does need support.
