What has Russell done to earn an automatic selection ahead of someone like Anderson who has at least been performing very well in the 2nds???

Really hope Yarran and Anderson play.

Well, I sincerely hope that those looking for changes are satisfied. The list isn't that deep.

Considering them on what basis? Obviosuly not form so given that form is not the criteria you could have picked some other names out of a hat and put their names on that extended bench instead of retreads.

Why wasn't Ellard included ahead of Cloke, Bentley and Russell

Scotland pretty stiff, looks like a matter of guilt by association with he and Stevo.

Strange, weren't we worried about lack of experience on interstate trips. :screwy:

Please MC, give Ando a go!

I'm stoked.
We'll be seeing a forward line of Yarran Fev Betts with Houla Kruez Garlett across half forward.

If the ball comes forward of centre Freo better look the F... out

With a glorious fine Perth day forecast the Navy Blues will kick 20 goals

Sit back and enjoy the show.

Hollywood 43, dont put to much on Freo this week. Just a heads up for ya.

Sadly we're wearing yellow

You can either "send a message" or you can play your best available team.

Nothing wrong with shaking things up and taking a risk if it has the desired effect.

We can quibble about the ins and outs (and we will), but enough was enough. I do support the Scotland quibble though.

Scotland hard done by too. Hoops should have been out first for mine.

Take a look at the last 2 games he has been awfull. Don't worry he'll be back better for it.
Browne is very stiff considering he played very well and was praised by ratts against the saints.

Cloke must be making the trip just in case Fev doesn't get up after his finger surgery. Surely we won't play Bentley. Would like to see Yarran, Anderson, Hampson and Johnson on the bench.

My guess is Scotland's injured, but it looks like we're making a statement to senior guys ("Fev you're next in line")

Open spaces at Subi, adding run...not a bad option...we would have done it last week...but we were too focussed on tagging the bummers and not losing

The omission of Stephen Browne is the most surprising. I thought he's been doing okay recently.

Yeah, thought he was very good against the Saints. Sure, had a quiet one last week but so did a LOT of his more senior teammates.

Would've stayed in for mine.

Houla lucky IMHO. Would've also given Fev a reality check

Hoping Yarran, Hampson, Ellard & Army stay, although's Army's skills worry me.

A lot of people will be p*ssed off with the JR inclusion, but let's face it our depth ain't that great and he played well in the Bullies last week.

Their form is equal to or better than those those were chosen over. Cloke kicked 5 goals 2 games ago and is a tall forward / ruckman. We don't have another one of those on the list. Bentley has probably been chosen over Hadley. Who else is there? Really? Robinson is suspended. Hartlett is a backman now, and the backline is settled. Ellard is still a rookie, isn't he? Bentick has only just returned from injury. Edwards is in bad form. Wiggins?

You make 5 changes and this is what happens.

While Garlett, Thornton and Russell are all certain of selection in the final team, Anderson, Bentley, Cloke, Johnson and Yarran have been named on the extended interchange

Sydney I thought you meant with Cloke and Bentley the PACE will be unbearable :smoking:

Cant be upset everyone said changes need to be made and they have made them - a couple of senior scalps as well

Hope Yarran and gartlett play- speed kills - need forward options

Hammer must play given sandilands

WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT Russells pace is important as SUBI

My point is why name Cloke and Bentley? They surely will not play. Name Harlett even if he isnt going to get picked to give the guy some encouragement...Cloke and Bentley are deadwood. They are VFL players at their very best.

Id've thought Johnson would be a certainty with his supposed footskills to replace Stevo/Scotto on halfback.
