Let's not jump out the window yet: of the top four sides at the moment, we played Collingwood and Bulldogs and we smashed em, lost to Saints by a kick and change, haven't played Geelong. The Hawks game was a pearler also.
The good thing we can mix it against the elite, albeit not every week, but that "should" come.

McVeigh was already under suspension for an undisciplined act. He then proceeded to go out on the turps and sleep through a recovery session.
Didak and Shaw broke curfew, were involved in a motor vehicle accident where one of them fled the scene. They then proceeded to lie to their team mates, coach, president and the football public thus humiliating everyone concerned.

Now let me get this straight, we're comparing these actions with a player who was late to training?

Soon we'll have TC posters going through Rattens rubbish bins looking for incriminating evidence. Some of you people need to have a good, hard look at yourselves. You're working yourself into a frenzy. :donk:

If you think there have not been more serious indescretions with players involving late nights out, drinking and breaking curfew this year you may just not be fully informed.

The photo that did the rounds earlier this season of Scotto and Fev reportedly snapped at 6am in King St has credability with me as Fev showed up to the Ants game later that day wearing exactly what he was in the photo.

Casino late after the Brisbane game seems to ring a bell.....but like Fev motions to the crowd after kicking a goal...shhhhh !

The story was that the photo that did the rounds was taken the night after the Bullants game. Logies night . They all probably went out after the ants game.

Anyway if no training was missed then it is a different scenario.

The blonde hair stuff was a pre season thing. Plenty of stories going around that scotland and houlihan were dropped earlier in the year for dicipline reasons.

The feeling you get at Essendon* though is that every player is equal to one another. It's doesn't matter whether it's Mark McVeigh or some dud, they're going to be treated equally no matter how good they are.

I don't get that feeling at Carlton and don't think it sends a good message to the playing group.

Even Judd. He's a professional, but when Ratten calls him "the Champ", that's not.
He's not supposed to be their mate, he's not supposed to be in awe of his players (at least not while he's got his coach's hat on).

Yeah but Fev was rounding up the boys to go to the Logies after party (wonder what time that starts and kicks on to) and the pic was claimed to be taken at 6am. Surely the boys have a curfew even if there is not training the following day. And surely these late nights within 48 hrs of a game as hard as the Hawks game was would make it harder to recover.

What is also disappointing was that Fev was trying to round up players for the big night out with Matt Capuano (one of our coaching staff) standing amongst them at the Ants game. For some reason our ruck coach didn't think it appropriate to alert Ratts and co of the proposed big night out. We also had a senior player in Wiggo who heard it all, but it seems neither tried to do whatever was necessary to avert an all nighter they knew would be happening in advance.

well the pic did seem to be taken after sunrise and he was wearing the identical clothes to those at the Ants game....I am aware I wrote claimed and have not treated it as fact, but I wish the evidence was less compelling.
