I was surprised that our Captain sat there with a Puma top on when the club is sponsored by Nike. You would expect he would wear a Carlton outfit or at least a neutral outfit. This might get Nike pissed off.... dont think he should piss a spoinsor off.

I thought the exact same thing when i was watching it, not the first time he has been decked out in puma gear.

He is sponsored by Puma and Nike would be well aware of that when he came to Carlton.

He plays in a Nike top every week during the footy season, so that's all that matters.

A non issue IMO.

Mike Sheehan is just awful, and the interview just wasn't interesting or entertaining at all.

Sheehan, like most sports journalists are just now beginning to reap what they've sewn over the years.

They've allowed the muck rakers to continually hound players about their social lives to the point where clubs have media 'education' programs that produce robotic answers. Now, the journos don't even bother asking relevant FOOTBALL questions because they're not the ones that get front page attention.

Any chance someone was able to tape it and youtube it or something like that ? It ould be a good clip for the Blueseum...

Don't bother it was a vanilla interveiw. Mike is hopeless, really he is. Like another poster I gave up the last half of the contender for it.

So those of us who missed it,

are you guys saying there wasnt at least one intelligent question asked to Juddy ?????????

It was Mike Sheehan asking the questions. You shouldn't even need to ask if there were intelligent questions asked.

Chris Judd isn't a very interesting public figure, and that suits me just fine. He certainly looks to be comfortable with the idea.

I do have the impression, though, that as captain, he needs to develop into a more powerful personality.

I don't think Judd will ever develop a more powerful personality - he is what he is, he's a gun, and he's ours. He's an absolute professional on the field and off, but he's not an extrovert nor an ambitious leader. We've got him and if that's his downside then so be it.

I didnt know he was a junior umpire - this was how he explained that he had some sympathy for umpires these days and might explain his lack of complaints on field despite being held in every contest.

Thought it was OK but was hugely disappointed that Mike didn't ask him about his views on the list/team and how far he thinks they can go etc. I'd have thought these were no brainer Qs

i really liked mike's interview with tom harley a few weeks back. Proved that harley is a class act with his professional demeanour, and willingness to give insight.

Judd also proved how much of a professional he is, by sitting through a barrage of trash journalism without slapping said journalist.
