Let the lads who dished up that crap Friday night redeem themselves.

Carlton by 24 points.

Dear Brett,

How’s that ambition to start winning games against teams that we haven’t beaten for a while going? You know, teams like the Swans, Dockers, Saints, Crows and Hawks? Kudos to you for starting a new on against the Bombers though.

Kind Regards,

Angry (Stret) of Mayfair.

Seriously, if we lose to Fremantle on Sunday questions should be asked, (but probably wont)

The match committe MUST come up with a functioning and productive game style and forward structure.

Agree with you about dropping Fev. The media would love to see this

As for coming up with functioning and productive forward structure, Ratten's had 2 years to come up with one.

And Fisher, Houilhan and Bannister are. 'snip'

Believe it or not Russell busts his guts out there and has been mismanaged from the very beginning.

Hadley HAS to become our Watson. If we can't find a Watson/Mitchell we will never win a premiership. I'd play him every game for the rest of the year as this teams is begging for an extractor.

No doubt i wanna make finals but Ratten has to go back to developing and playing the young guys. Playing the likes of Fisher, Stevens, Houlihan and Bannister are only hurting us. Garlett, Robinson, Yarran, Johnson, Anderson, Hartlett, Edwards, Russell and Hadley must be given every opportunity from now on.

I'd rather see these guys give it a crack and go down than see the same old useless mugs running around and losing.

..the question is, will Fev adhere to the new forward structure..?.. ..and i mean for more than a couple of weeks.. ..we used to always whinge about other forwards crowding Fev, but i'm noticing that he's just as guilty of that himself..

Since the first 3 losses of 08, we havent won or lost more than 2 in a row since. Going by that pattern, we should beat Freo and Richmond then lose to Sydney.

I stated before the Brisbane game if we won 2/4, we would be going ok. So need to Freo one to get the 2nd.

As for my dropping/hanging of players.

Personally I think this will happen:

In: Thornton, Garlett, Russell

Out: Bower, Stevens, Bannister

Heres hoping they have the guts to drop Stevo.

After watching the game on Friday, I noticed that Grigg was taking on the 'in and under' role, which to be honest, isn't his strong suit at all. Grigg is better suited running off half back, which was (supposedly) Steven's role. Bring in Hadley to do the in and unders, free up Grigg and drop Stevens. Seriously, every time Stevens got the ball he completely fluffed it up....and it's not the first time it's happened either. Football is as much about using your head as it is about ability, and Steven's had neither on Friday night. Just lazy and lacked any sense of peripheral vision. Grigga has at least got some speed, size and TICKER, so he needs to be freed up a little.

Carrazzo should be the extractor. He should play head to head against Haselby this week and not a negating role. Get it out to Murphy, Judd and Gibbs by hand preferably.

I definitely want Hadley in the team

And I HOPE Thornton is fit, because with no Thornton and no Bower we've lost

I'll say freo by 5 goals.

no he wouldnt be seeing as carrazzo had 22 touches with 86% efficiency and shut down stanton for the 3 quaters(didnt play on him last) so that would be a good move one would think

I'd ask Judd and Murph who THEY want in the side. These two blokes know more about the game than 60% of the rest of the club.

They give their blood and sweat every week without fail regardless of the delivery, the weather, the umpires or whether they had a fight with the missus, or was out on the piss the previous week.

Nobody makes excuses for these two - they don't have to. We need more of them and less of the others.

Its not up to everyone else to get out of Fev's way - but for everyone to move around and create space and options. This isn't to make Fev to solitary target but to make it a genuinely multi-pronged attack. The incident with Setanta in the 1st quarter was a mistake on Fevs behalf but then again a similar play happened in the 2nd quarter and Fev took the mark (and good on Setanta for backing it into the pack again).
Later on in the scum game, when they all decided to become more lazy - Fev wouldn't even bother leading, the scum had extra numbers back and where were their opponents? Not trying hard enough and making their opponents accountable.

AFAIC, we are not as good as most think. We are still a couple of very good midfielders short and are yet to resolve the forward structure. This will only be exacerbated further on the vast expanses of Subiaco. We are lazy, dispassionate and disorganised. I predict a patch of really bad games coming up. I can't see us turning this around quickly. We will get murdered through the middle. Freo by 5 goals plus

Russell ahead of Hadley due to recent performances in the 2's, he might have learnt his lesson finally getting dropped to improve

Stevo and Fev need to be used as examples to say no one can play like they did and be gauranteed a position.

Bannister is too old and makes crucial errors, why groom a senior player when kids could be developing.

Harts would be close but as Freo are without Pav and Aussie, Jamo and Thornton?? should be enough.

Ando has been consistent all year and deserves a game surely

Army got pushed over at crucial times to much last week it cost us dearly as well as did his disposal.

Joseph to play on Duffield as he has been their key over the past month.

Fish to have first crack at FF, good mark, presents well and can kick better now within 50 metres

Setants to have second dig, strong marks last week, why not give him a crack

Give Garlett and Yarran a go at terrorising the forward line together with Betts
