Armfield appears to be TC's new version of Jordan Russell. I agree, let's drop one of the few players that runs his arse off and takes the game on. I'll take Armfield, albeit with dodgy skills, over the poor application and lack of risk taking by plenty of others any day.

Would be a huge bonus if he misses next week.

Pav nothing special on the G Coast and they still won. Bower did the job on him and he's a likely out. Let's not get too excited.

Our supporters are the best in the League at just reacting to emotions and getting carried away..

One bad Game and they want the best FF and an elite midfielder to be dropped...

when are people going to learn to accept things that happen and look forward to next week?

Seriously, our supporters can be the sort that can just stab you in the back over a week period. We hail fev as a hero when he kicks his 8's, and we want to get rid of him when he plays a bad game...ITs not his fault, the entire team played Terrible....

That is Fevola and that is how he plays sometimes... its not like he wasn't trying... Late in the last Q, he laid a tackle, got the ball off to Judd who Goaled... The commentator congratulated him for his effort....

STOP picking on certain players... Stevens will bounce back as he always does.. he wasn't the worst of them... he did try but had a shocker.

Any updates on Chris Johnson? Still injured? and if so how far off is he? Perfect replacement for Stevens. I'd also like to see YArran and Robinson back in the side.

Him or Bentick - anyone who can go in under and save Judd having to do that as well.

I agree (except the stevens part). We have stuffed up the season but its not the end of the world. We have a good core of young players with time on their sides. We just need to inject some youth for development and phase out some of the slackers in their late 20's (not fev) for the rest of this year. In the off season tinker a bit more with the list, work hard on the players minds and get the team to play as a team then come out in 2010 and give it another crack.

Its funny, the Dogs ,Magpie and Crow fans have all had times like this this year and come out the other side. We botched last night and we have pretty much botched the season but its a fine line between pleasure and pain.

GO Blues !

NExt week
Out Houla, Banno , Bower
In Garlett Anderson THornton

- Russell
- Anderson

I believe Robbo has been suspended for 2 matches in the VFL and won't be available - otherwise he'd be my replacement for Stevens.

Russell??? Why?

Freo will be without Pavlich next week. There are no excuses. Next weeks result will determine if We will finish 8th or Not.....

Banno, Austin and Houla needs to be dropped. We need to inject some speed in the forwardline.. its too heavy, Mind you the combination of Fisher and Santa wasn't that bad yesterday!!!

Well, Collingwood just beat Freo by 80-odd.

We beat Collingwood by 60-odd.

We're easily a 140 point better team than them!

I just think he is a slightly better option than Bannister......not much between them however.

If Carlton lose to Freo. Then the finals are out. We play good against St.Kilda because we know they are gonna get cocky all the time, cause they think they are kings of aus. When we play teams like Freo, Essendon* and other crappy teams. The exact happens to us. We get cocky, then the teams understand what we are doing. And they take it easy, let us use our cockiness to get tired, and kill us towards the end.

If Setanta is up forward with Fev staying out of his way. Then he can take marks and kick goals for us. But Ratten thinks that playing Setanta in Half Foward is smarter so Fev can clobber him up and get the bloody pigskin to miss every F***ing option so that we lose to teams. So this means that it is to get a new F***ing man in that box to lead us to the finals. And a change for a new boss to take us to better financial times FOR F***ING SAKES! We need bigger defenders to take fowards like Buddy, Gay Boy Lloyd, Lucas, Roughead, Kozitzki and Gay sooky lala Riewoldt.

If Fremantle dont start favourites for this game something is wrong, we are soooo over rated its not funny. We have done nothing all season. Hence why i always put money on the teams we play against and collect. Examples

Vs Essendon* twice.... Essendon* to win both times odds were over $2.00... jumped on twice and twice collect
Vs Hawthorn we were slight favourites - got on the Hawks... collected
Vs Freo got great odds... $3.00... got on... collect

Ill continue to bet against the heartless Blues

No way Fev will get dropped now with the Dawks losing. Pavlich is a big out for them and we should get Thornton back however I expect Headland to play his one good game per season along with the likes of Schammer, Mundy, and those other lukewarm Dockers who grow an extra foot when they play us. They played good in patches today never mind about the final quarter blow out, the injuries caught up with them in the end.

Armfield covered more ground than the midfielders last night according to Ratten. He also takes risks and with that comes turnovers but he is having a go. I hope Anderson gets a go, at least you know he will give 100% and will not shirk a contest. Garlett and Yarran for speed and x-factor would also be good.

If PT lose tomorrow we will be 8th and we have to play our best team next week-possibly the most important team selection for the last 6 or 7 seasons?
