At this stage (pending Bullants form) my changes would be:

Out
- Bower (inj)
- Houlihan
- Stevens
- Bannister
- Armfield

In
- Thornton
- Garlett
- Yarran
- Russell
- Anderson

I believe Robbo has been suspended for 2 matches in the VFL and won't be available - otherwise he'd be my replacement for Stevens.

OUT
- Fev, Stevens, Houla, Bannister, Armfield

IN
- Yarran, Hartlett, Anderson, Garlett, Johnson(??)

However I think that given the importance of this game (I think Ratten knows is career is starting look a bit more shakey) I don't expect him to make more than 3 changes

Dropping JR was the first test
Dropping Stevens and Fev will be the next tests

Will Thornton be fit for next weekend?

I agree Bluey44 that dropping Stevens and Fev would be a test.

Fev rarely plays well against the Dockers so good game to drop him for.

However, saying that dropping JR was the first test is a bit over the top. We beat the lions that week and Travis Johnstone didn't have a great impact in any event.

Bring in the 3 WA boys to play at Subiaco

Yarran
Garlett
Hadley (Hads must be told his roll is to win the hard ball at the stoppage and feed Judd!!)

Drop who ever you need to

Would be a huge bonus if he misses next week.

I believe Ratts said he would have been fit for this week's match if it was a Sunday game.
He apparently trained well on Wed.

Grover has strained a thigh aswell.

How sad is it obsessing over the opposition's injuries...but seriously after last night we need every ounce of luck we can get.

Will be quite a few changes i would imagine.
Out Bower (inj)
Armfield
Bannister (never to play again in the navy blue please)

In Thornton
Garlett/Yarran
Anderson

This match will show whether the players have any ticker, last night was disgraceful and they should be ashamed of themselves.

So you'd keep Houla in the side?

Not sure about Houla, he is such a skillfull player and is being used in a negating role too often. Trouble is there is very little in the Bullants to bring up.

We're a young team who's had two poor halves out of 13 weeks. Not too bad. Lets not get carried away.

We can't win when Fev doesn't play well, how are we going to win without him? I agree some senior players need to be looked at, but Fev isn't the right one to make an example of. Stevens, Scotland and Houlihan are much better candidates.

Keep the kids on. Armifield is at least prepared to take the game on, run some lines and has good pace. What we need to do is ensure he has some options to give the ball off too. One of our better users needs to get close by for a handball. Armfield, Browne etc need to spend another summer in the development squad. Give it some time.

The bigger concern is we appear so unpassionate at times and unwilling to run hard and work for each other. At others we're great at these aspects, but they should be the non-negotiables. We should always be prepared to do that.

I'm not going to name names, but Judd gathered the ball at half-forward, Punt Road end, Southern Stand side, teammate and opponant just behind him, teammate stops, opponant chases, doesn't get there, but Judd has a shot from 35m and misses rather than getting the block he needed and being able to run in to 20m and open the angle up a bit. Basic stuff, but we're not going anywhere until that kind of commitment is shown by all 22 players. Essendon* were very good last night at putting on blocks to free their teammates up.

Lack of passion and commitment aren't coming from the coaches box, thats between the players ears.

Oh, and on Bannister. I've never been a big fan, but at least he shows that passion and commitment. If his teammates showed the same to get in position so his disposal isn't shown up then he'd be a big plus. Keep him.

So that's two games in a row they've been spectators at the MCG.
