Great read, this thread is.

Being one eyed really can blind you.

well played, sir.

given the delicate nature of our history with regards to that line i'll offer this: I would imagine you, Tommi, would at least have 20/20 vision still going for you.

These fools haven't been afforded that comfort.

what an hilarious read!

"our bottom 10 will develop into great players".

They are very confident and seem to think we are just the fab four and nothing else. Good, let them.

One thing though. At least our best full back will play on one of the best of the opposition forwards, rather than hiding like he has for the past few years.

Fletcher - good ordinary footballer.

Love the sheer intellectual brilliance of it......

Quote:

I've been telling every Carlton supporter that I know that Essendon* is in a similar place to Geelong 4 years ago and Carlton is in a Similar place to St. Kilda.

And Smythy I think 2010-2014 is our time. then Fletch will retire! Which could be extended if we draft smart to compliment our young stars as McVeigh, Hille, Lovett and Welsh retire.

I'm really dissapointed that Hille has gone down for the year cause If he was to come back into our side and Lucas was to really hit some good form we'd have a team that could roll into top 4 this year.

To tell you the truth, I don't want to be where any other team has been before. I want us to set a new benchmark.

The bombers are going to have some pretty hefty retirements soon, and likely all in one hit too.

I often read other club forums to get another perspective of where people thing the blues are at, at least the pie scum overall admit we are a good team, these esssucm fans seem to belive we have 3 good players, the rest are shit, we have no depth and no backline. on one thread where our team was listed they had browne and armfield in bold suggestting what crap they are. i think they underate us and overrate themselves and we must pump their asses by 10 goals tonight to show why we are better.

the only good point they have made is that both teams are 6-6 and all the hype this year has been carlton this and carlton that. WE MUST WIN to prove why we have the hype.

GO BLUES

Our awful backline has conceeded nearly 11 goals less than their 'emerging back-half'.

Our one-dimensional forward line has kicked 18 more goals than their 'multi-pronged' attack. And our highest score is three goals above their 'wonderful attacking best'.

Our average winning margin is also two goals higher than theirs, and losing margin three goals less.

Oh silly me! They have injuries. Why, they've used one more player for the year than we have.
