Tomorrow could be one of the greatest days in my life  or it could get extremely messy

I'm not sure I like the change made, would of preferred to have Yarran in for Garlett for balance reasons.

So with the squads selected I'd try the following matchups to start the game:

Banno vs Watson
AJ vs Lovett
T-Bird vs Monfries
Jamo vs Llyold
Bower vs Lucas
Army vs Davey
Browne vs Winderlich

I do like our defensive mix now, we are starting to get a balance of attack vs defence around the ground.

If they are, we're screwed.

Is T-Bird fit? He looked just slightly proppy at training to me. He certainly wasn't stretching out as the others were. Maybe Ratts will spring the surprise re-inclusion of Garlett.

On the other hand Walks looked cherry ripe. Cannot wait for his return.

I don't think it will be McLaren as the scum & Anus Moorefrees had a dream run when he umpired them last week against Melbourne

Steve McBurnie is one of the umps on Friday night, according to TFS he is umpiring his 300th game on Friday night. He may celebrate by paying Morefrees his 300th free kick.

i'm not upset about Garlett getting dropped - I think he needs a rest.
I agree that his closing speed is phenomenal, but i don't think he has as much of a role against the Scum as he did against the Aints.
I think they made the right call.

In terms of Thornton, will be interested to see if he or Austin gets thrown forward.
Maybe a given that one of them will have to go forward at some stage - I think if i was Knights I would be crapping my pants more at the prospect of T-Bird across half forward.
Might really stir the pot and stuff them up.

AJ MUST TEAR LOVETT A NEW A-HOLE THIS WEEK
and whoever is on Mon-flower-ies (Murphy? Gibbs?) must push forward and kick 5 goals and embarrass him.
I don't care if Fev pisses on him after he dives. That flower must be kept out of the game this week

Garlett has just had a week off, surely he doesn't need another rest. As for the zero tackle count, didn't he kick a goal after tackling a Saint at the Lockett end and winning a holding the ball free?

Can't imagine what it will feel like if we lose .

In , Thornton . . . . . out , probably Austin .

Austin didn't play against the Saints.

5 kicks 9 handballs 4 marks....You really don't watch the game do you Melvey...I suppose thats the explanation for why you think Chris Johnson is a gun - makes sense now...

Game was two weeks ago but i apologies for my blunder, anyway.......... You don't really read my posts properly do you? Where did i say 'Johnson is a gun'

I tend to agree.

The Bombers like to 'slingshot' off half back and i just don't think Banno, Houla, O'hailpin, Fev, Krooze, Gibbs and Stevens are blessed for pace

Cats arent super quick and they thrashed the bombers.

If we play hard and intense and handle the ball cleanly we will beat them. Dont really have to match them for pace.

I've seen Fevola catch Lovett and force him to rush a kick.

Footy show mentioned Mcburney umpiring his 300th game on friday.

lets just hope the umpiring is a bit more decent than round 3!!

I like Garlett however he only got 4 poss's against the Saints and went missing last time we played Essendon*. Next year and beyond he should be a regular.

I like Garlett too ...especially his defensive and harrassing work off the ball ..which doesn't get noticed

Looks like carltonac didnt notice it either.

Good to see lots of talking up of the Bombers in the Hun today. One article compares the Bombers to Geelong! Obviously the 60 point thrashing the Bombers copped by the Cats a few weeks ago was a figment of my imagination.

And James Hird has a feature on how good Jobe Watson is. Hope it works just a well this time James.

like the sound of Setanta playing on Fletcher.
Fletcher gets too many cheap possessions so i expect Setanta to play tight.

I have a feeling Fisher will play. He is named as 1st emergency & not named for the Ants.

He may replace Thornton :?:

The Bummers are totally overrated and should not make the 8. I saw their game against Melbourne and they were not that good. Fev should rip their defence another one if he plays up to his standard and our midfield is far better. Only the speed of their smalls is a worry so we have to play physical football to stop their run.
If we cant win this one we are just not good enough.
