For a non-native footballer, Hammer has made great strides in decision-making and footy skills this year. Funny how when players start to work out how to operate in the heat of battle that intangibles like confidence come into their game, and their performance snowballs to an unstoppable force

I think it has more to do with the fact he's not used as much up forward. Generally only uses the burst in chase or on the lead; good to see it through the midfield.

Called it very early and reiterated it again after his first game of this season when others were prematurely calling for his head. He is going to be a star. An absolute star.

Good/Average players often make the best instructional coaches because people were always giving them advice.
Diesel is probably the only person who thinks he is better than Judd (even now) and would give him advice.

He kicked it to someone behind the points and we lost by 3 or 4 points.

Simmo's burst in the second quarter is what sparked us. That run and carry from the backline, as mentioned, was inspirational, but then he topped that 2 or 3 times more before the half ended, a couple of efforts where he smashed into saints players on the wing, forcing the issue and winning the contested footy really, really lifted us, both on the ground and in the stands.
