Pretty sure Judd already has it in the bag. Murphy wouldn't be too far behind. And Waite would've been right up with those two prior to injury.

Two players who I think will feature strongly in the 2009 B&F results, pending fitness, will be Bower and Joseph.

How good has Bower been of late? He has the ability to check and spoil, mark, and run. His rebound and willingness to back himself has been exceptional in the past six weeks. Riewoldt may have kicked five, but Bower not only limited him after a fast start but also created much of our attack and drive off half back. It wouldn't surprise me come round 22 if this guy finishes top 5.

Joseph until recently has flown under the media radar. His job on Ablett in the Ansett Cup was a key indicator of what was to come. Does the sort of job the match committee loves but the press rarely recognise. Headed for a top 10 finish I would think, and with a season under his belt could develop into an important attacking midfielder who can also tag next year and on.

You would have to think Joseph gets votes in the majority of games he's played considering he gets a job and does it week in week out. Could be a surprise runner up to Juddy!!

Cannot pass up Judd for 2 in a row heisan unbelievable captain. His courage, discipline and professionalism make him, in my opinion the AFL benchmark ... the complete player ... but AJ and Bower have had exceptional seasons so far. Bower's game against the Saints was fantastic ...his drive up the guts and his willingness to back himself have paid huge dividends for the club.

As for AJ, find of the season. There are a few players in the magoos who could take some pages from this kid's book. Plays like his life depends on it, massive pride for the jumper and will become an absolute god to the Carlton faithful. I really do not have enough words of praise for AJ, the kid is everything I want Carlton to become over the next two years.

Man love X 1000 for him ... deserves a big fat contract.

A top 10 B&F finish would be a just reward for AJ's efforts this year..

Bower has also improved out of sight!

Our top 3 in the B & F at the moment would have to feature Judd, Murphy and Bower.

Great young player, Joseph. But will never have the skill level of someone like Montagna.

..would have to be neck and neck between Judd and Murphy.. ..Murphy's got 16 goals to his name already, has picked up his defensive side and is working his arse off.. ..Judd is Judd, and is close to his best.. .... ..Bower is a hard one, he's been great these last few weeks but his attacking off HB wasn't as much of a feature early in the season.. ..though they i suspect was more a coaching issue.. ..seems the defenders have been told to take the game on from HB this past month.. ..AJ would definately be getting votes, as Waite would have pre-knee.. ..also Thorny was have a good season too i reckon.. ..and Betts is having a breakout season.. ..will break out even more if he gets more time in the middle, which after his ST.Kilda performance you'd expect he will..

I've got Judd in front by a nose and Bower ahead of Waite by a curly hair.

So far i'd say it would looks something like this:

1. Judd
2. Murphy
3. Bower
4. Simpson
5. Gibbs
6. Thornton
7. Kruezer
8. Fevola
9. Betts
10. Joseph

or close to that, with Waite out of contention

As of round 6 Bower 4th.

Joseph not in the the top 10, but not far out of it either.

Pity Bower had that small window of injury. May drop him out of the top 5. :|
