The Dees to smash the Scum and the Scum to get some suspensions.

The Swans to smash the Filth and the Filth to get some suspensions.

:thanks:

I agree, DUC, although I would love to smash the Scum when they're at full strength so they have no excuses

They always have excuses... there's so many Essendon* supporters who are sore losers they can actually get together and convince each other that Alwyn Davey's injuries left a key structural hole in their side.

When we smash the scum how many of their supporters will accuse us of cheating? like the richmond supporters at work before round 1 bragging that richmond would smash us, now they still carry on about us getting 3 number 1 picks.

My split round wish is that there was no such thing as a split round and therefore no such thing as a split round wish.

Split round has its place, giving the players a chance to rest.

They're professional sportsmen. I don't buy the "But they have to rest" line.

The split round does nothing but lengthen the season for one week for no good reason.

Meanwhile, in Sydney, there may as well be no footy on for a fortnight, because there is one single match in 2 weeks on FTA TV remotely close to live.

I know that Chris Judd is rapt that he's got a week that he's not going to (accidentally) get thumped in the nose......again.

EPL has international breaks, players get rotated through squads regularly.

NFL has a bye and breaks in the play offs.

It's a regular thing, especially if they keep upping the intensity of matches with the rule changes.

My wish is for the kids to have a well earned break after a big year thus far.

Given we have the youngest team we probably could do with it moreso than many of the other more seasoned teams.

It's a long year for the kids who are still developing and getting accustomed to life as a professional footballer at the highest level.

Apart from that, I don't like the split round one bit although I will be taking advantage of a Carlton free weekend in a big way.

I wish there was a State of Origin on so I could watch Judd, Murphy, Betts and Bower play (and Waite if... )

While many rule interpretations appear to be transforming Australian Rules into a game more like netball, we don't need to treat the players like netballers.
