Apparently the boys had a training session yesterday.

Are they not taking a few days off?

Does anyone know what their week off entails please?

Saw an interview with Jordan Bannister after Friday night's game. He said alot of the boys are off to Sydney for a few days to see mates.

We have the bye in the VFL this week, so no Carlton listed players will be lining up this weekend.

A teams zone must change depending on who we play. More blokes blocking the corridor making them chip it down the line and we'll be right.
LEAVE HOULIHAN INSIDE 50!

Geelong V Essendon* game also...a zone "across" the corridor...all you could see up the entire ground was a zigzag of Cats players from defence to attack in the corridor.
Essendon* had no answer and couldn't get oit "over" the zone as the Cats playesr moved across to pressure.

If we leave the corridor open and I see Lovett running through .... :banghead:

Can someone please email Ratts and Bomber and advise them of these tactics, because judging from our last outings against the bombers i'm not sure they're the wiser

you could be right!,...but I do doubt it, more a question of how quickly the players switch on when needed

+1

We basically roll out the red carpet for the bombers to use the corridor against us.

They know we are waiting poster and the follow up in the paper after they fell in over the line in Rd 3 should be enough motivation for the players to ensure they cop exactly what they have been waiting for - a good old fashion hiding.

This isn't an EIGHT point game - this is a paybacks a bitch game....

Once we win(and we better flower win), we should place an ad in the paper, with "we know they dont need to wait any longer" as the banner

Knowing the clubs discomfort at the slightest hint of media controversy, I'd say there won't be any of that going on.

..there's always a few lesser light teams that for one reason or another, get the wood over a superior team.. ..we've had it over the dawgs even before we started our ascension.. ..the bummers could be that crappy team for us.. ..i'll take any win cos we need 'em for finals, let alone over these drongo's.. ..but i'll be especially happy with a good ol' fashioned spankin'..

Seriously their gameplan is just move it quick through the corridor...yet every game we play against them they have SO MUCH SPACE!! Would think we'd learn by now.

Oh and realise that we CANT beat them in a shoot out. We need to slow it down at times.
And manhandle them in tackles...

Oh and i saw on i think Ch 10's coverage that AJ's top speed in that game was like 31 km/h....

Does AJ have the speed to tag Lovett?

And who gets @#$%&! Monfries fellow...Browne?

AJ has the speed to go with Lovett - probably the perfect physical profile to tag him. can't recall AJ tagging a half back though. Could work well - Joseph could hurt him going the other way and together with Eddie and Garlett will make rebound a real chore for the Bombers. OTOH we'd lose his run from half back.

The highlight of the St K game for me was the run out of the backline from Bower in particular, Joey, Austin and Army

I think Browne is a good matchup on Monfries too - Monfries ain't super quick, but he is clever. Browne a good option in the air and on the ground.

It doesn't always work like that. We are waiting 2 weeks to play this game, while they are keeping busy with a game on this Friday night.....

IMHO It's better to play an actual game rather than play the game in your head a few times while waiting 2 weeks.

i believe that Lovett will struggle mightily with a heavy tag..Nothing shows me that he has the nous or the smarts to overcome a strong committed tagger like AJ..
