It is times like this that we need to remind ourselves of the bigger picture and that is development is more important that winnng this year. That is not to say we don't care about losing but as supporters we need look at the time that we will peak (2 years) and be happy we are tracking towards that.
The Cats and Saints took 5+ years to develop and there were plenty of downs along the way.

We are coming and are developing as we should.

Non Negotiable though - Smash the Bombers in 2 weeks.

Zing!

We will rip many teams a new ... in the not too distant future. :smoking:

Yeah - I don't buy the Garlett argument. He would have made way had he had a poor game last week, but he was very good last week. Gonna struggle with that pace and intensity at the moment, but he's the future.

Game was lost because Judd was off the ground for so long....they won the stoppages while he was off and scored goals.

nah DB...Hoops was really good. Watch the game again...he had a role and did it fantastically.

I want a full team to pick from for once :(

i know what you mean but it rarely happens for any side. Our injuries are fast tracking our development without a doubt. Since Jacobs has been out Hampson's development has doubled in my opinion.....and that's observing from NL!!! Austin in for Waite the same!

You need around 30 players capable of doing the job and we are starting to get to that number finally.

I'll rephrase. I want a team full of our most critical players to pick from for once. Waite, Thornton, Walker, all of whom are critical to our structure. Our midfield is so strong that if we lose someone, we've got guys who can come in. The guys we're always missing at one time or another are all guys that we can't replace.

didn't miss thornton - in fact thought we were more assured coming out of defence and came out quicker.
wouldn't make a change next game

Na T-Bird and I think we would have won. T-Bird might have freed up AJ to Montagna - and hey Kosi - @#$%&! big pile of shit.

Damn it. Bad start cost us, othewise we were the better side.

Very hard to find fault in any of the boys tonight, maybe a few matchup issues early, especially Carrots on Gram.

Browne is seriously starting to emerge as a very good player across half back.

Bower was sensational considering the amount of contests and ease of delivery in the first quarter to Reiwoldt.

Simmo was awesome.

Oh and Jamo, welcome back son, splendid game, smashed Kozi.

Chin up boys, make sure you're up for the Bombers now, the run home with this form will see plenty of wins.

I thought we actually mved the ball out of defence better tonight too. Is that because Thornton's not there? I dn't know, partly probably. He commands the ball and lies to move sideways. He doesnt take players on and thats waht we did tonight.

That desnt mean he shouldn't lay, just that he and we need to adapt

This goes without saying, but...

Carlton is the best team in the land. Win, lose or draw.

T-Bird should be used as a forward. Good mark and we missed a lead up forward tonight...he holds the play up toooo long...too slow - hasn't adapted to the modern game.

You do feel better when the ball is in Bowers hands than thorntons. With bower you just know his first instinct is to go towards our goal and he does it quick with penetration not allowing teams to set up behind the ball. Thornton is opposite.

Judds sore nose was the difference. Allowed goddard to have an influence.
