I just wish Stevo would hold the ball and cop a tackle sometimes.

That hot potato shit sells someone into trouble more often than not.

Handful of dodgy decisions in the opening 10 minutes cost us the game
Fev 2. Misses in the last

Stevo was in and out of the match.

He definitely needs to increase his input into the match, for mine. The skills are there, but he can be lazy at times.

I didn't think he was too bad.

Umpires never give bad calls against us. Just ask COllingwood and Brisbane supporters.

Your second sentence makes sense

ABSOLUTELY SHATTERED

I would have traded a loss against Collingwood or Essendon* for a win against these cultureless pretenders

No, not too bad, definitely, just not consistently in the match the way someone with his skills and "leadership" should, for mine.

Right - Mirrors Everyone....

Now take a good hard @#$%&! look at yourselves!

What a brilliant game by us - and every one watching knows it - how often do they interview teams at the end of a game and ask 99% of questions about how brilliant their opposition were? And I hate em - but the Saints players were extremely gracious and complimentary.....

I thought EVERYONE stood up tonight - and even when they had quiet patches, made up for it with bursts of sheer brilliance!
Steveo works harder than a lot of people give credit for - and tonight showed exactly WHY he's the VC.

We're special, and I couldn't really care if none of you get that - because it is obvious that the boys know it and we're going to mess some teams up in the second half when we don't let them stop us playing our game.....

I'll say it again - go you mighty blue heroes!!

Yeah, well, we've seen enough from him to know that this is always going to be an issue. Outwardly, at least. So, given his established form in regards to leadership qualities, I thought this was one of his better efforts.

IMO, he has always been grossly overrated, right back since his Port days. He's a damn good player, mostly, but all this talk of "best kick in the AFL" yada, yada, is a bit baseless.

It is times like this that we need to remind ourselves of the bigger picture and that is development is more important that winnng this year. That is not to say we don't care about losing but as supporters we need look at the time that we will peak (2 years) and be happy we are tracking towards that.
The Cats and Saints took 5+ years to develop and there were plenty of downs along the way.

We are coming and are developing as we should.

Non Negotiable though - Smash the Bombers in 2 weeks.

The trick will be to play with that intensity every week
That effort would have beaten every other team except maybe Geelong

If we play the way we know we can, then that will happen, no problems.

The line has to be drawn. I want those flowers to feel as though they've climbed the levels of Dante's Inferno, and to be crying into their mincy manicured hands wondering why for once all of the events of the world didn't conspire to help them for once.

I want Monfries to dive, and throw a tantrum when the umpire doesn't pay a free.

I want Lloyd to actually miss a flowering kick against us for once.

I want to pummel them by over 10 goals so that they can't whine about injuries as an excuse.

I want humiliation. I want them demoralised. I want them bruised, bleeding and psychologically scarred.

I want Carlton to give the bird once and for all to this bunch of smug princesses.

I also want posthumous salary cap charges laid against them after the match, to make up for that insipid punishment they received when that snake Ron Evans was in charge.

i know what you mean but it rarely happens for any side. Our injuries are fast tracking our development without a doubt. Since Jacobs has been out Hampson's development has doubled in my opinion.....and that's observing from NL!!! Austin in for Waite the same!

You need around 30 players capable of doing the job and we are starting to get to that number finally.

I'll rephrase. I want a team full of our most critical players to pick from for once. Waite, Thornton, Walker, all of whom are critical to our structure. Our midfield is so strong that if we lose someone, we've got guys who can come in. The guys we're always missing at one time or another are all guys that we can't replace.
