Ablett is star, but when you play the way he does, ie. gather, handball, stop, handball receive, stop, handball back the way he came, run on, handball receive, kick; then you shouldn't have your quality measured by stats. So much of what he does is 3 touches for every play, it's effective yes but a 40 touch game of Ablett is the equivelent of a 26 game for Judd.
I had to double check this post to make sure I didn't wake up the other night and "sleep-post" because those are my thoughts exactly.
Ablett is an outstanding footballer, but he does have so many 3 or 4 possession plays where the ball ends up back where it started anyway! Judd can break a game open in 2 minutes even though he only pick up a couple of touches.
I know it sounds biased... but if I was picking a dream team, I would go with Ablett. If I was picking a premiership team, its Judd 100%.
