When a coach comes out and says Our Boys hardly trained all this week because many of them were sore from the Trip, then you know that We are going to get Smashed...

its not about the Saints. They can be beaten as proven last week, but its really about us. I don't think we are physically ready in such a short time to tackle the saints....

I hope they prove me wrong for once

Ross Lyon said the exact same thing about the Saints

Melvin a few posters have said he is out also.

Hopefully the Rattlesnake comes in, a huge experience and opportunity for the kid to play the T-Bird role IMO, a position that would suit him perfectly tonight.

i for one will not be surprised if Bannister was brought in to go with Reiwoldt...Jordan is 192cm and can niggle the hell out of Riewoldt. Bannister also has the ability to belt the living crap out of him which may come in handy.

Wow. Didn't realise Banno was that tall.

Either way I think it's a great inclusion. I remember in the early stages of last season he was flying. Gave us another hardened senior body and really used it well. I thought he was playing a really important role without starring. Then he did the hammy and never got another look in. Happy he's got another chance. Very honest, consistent footballer and we'll need his toughness tonight

Jamison was on 3AW this week and he mentioned how he thought Thornton did well on Brown considering he copped a knock early in the game. Maybe that's why 3AW are running with it, or maybe Whispers knows something we don't.

If Thornton hasn't came up, that will be a massive loss.

He's 190cm. That's why he never made it at CHF :donk:

He's earned a chance - it's a tough ask though. Has to play 1st game back against the top team, likely to be dropped quickly if he doesn't adapt immediately. Life's tough for ageing journeyman players. At his form of 15 months ago he's a definite starter - needs to do everything right tonight. I wish him well.

I have a funny feeling there's going to be an overwhelming number of TCer's on here praising Banno after the game.
No real reason for it, just a feeling

I hate these C#%&$! Lets hope Fev is smiling after the game for all the right reasons.

I'll be happy if Banno drops Goddard, AJ runs through Montagna, Setant gives Kozi 'The Kick' and Armfield shirt fronts Milne.

But I just dont think we have the firepower up forward to win this.

Saints by 30
