There are 3 players consistently criticised on TC: Russell, Thornton and Scotland

There's another Russell thread up and running right now, but I have never understood what the problem is with Thornton and Scotland. Thornton has played an almost lone hand against opposition power forwards for years.

When you watch games on telly you sometimes see a player come onto screen and you think 'oh crap' because that player is hard at it and has the courage, determination and self-belief to keep winning 50-50s. I think Scotland does this for us. When the ball is approaching our defensive 50 and is in dispute, I reckon I would rather have Scotland in there than just about any other player (maybe Judd/Murph).
