Get on the Central (Red) Line and travel west all the way across to Bayswater station, change there onto the District (Green) Line and travel around 4 stops south to Fulham Station, get off, exit and turn right and around 20 meters down the road is the Slug 'n' Lettuce.

PS Don't stay in Hackney it's a dump!!

I notice on the AFL website they haven't stated what game Setanta Sports will show in Great Britain this weekend.

Your PC.

If that's not an option, Setanta is not covering the game (strangely only covering two games live when they have an agreement for three), which leaves you hunting for a pub with one hell of a sat feed.

Best ring around to some of the Walkabout pubs, but be prepared to immerse yourself in the most woeful representation of Australian culture there ever was. Apparently we're all from Townsville (no offence to any readers).

Might have something to do with the fact that the channel is about to go bust

They will probably show the game Friday night around 7 or 8:30 as usual

This year Setanta are only covering Sat and Sun games. The scheduler there has a definite bias to Carlton games, reckon he is a Blues man  However Setanta being close to the brink is bummer ! http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/b ... 458205.ece

Hellas - Friends living in Hackney = free accomodations = can't complain... but I know what you mean.

Jimmae - Usually my PC is the option if I can't catch the game live. Unfortunately I'm stuck in a net cafe so catching it live would prove a little difficult... if only TVU have a stream for AFL. :P

Being a night game it was always going to be difficult to catch the game live (10.20am UK time) from a bar... and especially since Setanta isn't airing the match here.

Yeah thanks nck and hellas, I think I'll make my way down to the slug. I'll completely flip it if someone leaks the scores before the game finishes though ;)

Those Walkabouts are so dodgy...I remember taking a cute chick there one night and guys were trying to grab her away from me! Meat markets!!

No point going to the walkabouts unless they are telecasting a footy game live. Why go to London to hang out with Aussies / Kiwis :screwy:

Everything I need to know/experience about Walkabout pubs I've heard from other people - and the only reason I'd care to go is for the football...
