Oh, how I would love to pinch this one. Would be massive, absolutely massive.

I want to see AJ own Milne or Dal Santo.

saints were pretty average today

north went hard at them and they went into their shells

if only north could have held some sort of bench together they may have won

saints would want to play better than they have in the past few weeks if they think this is gonna be a walkover

i think we are a shot

Saints haven't been impressive for a few weeks now, and more than a little luck has gone their way. If we can produce the double-whammy of knocking over a premiership contender while at the same time ridding ourselves of the most humiliating dark cloud hanging over us, it'll go a long way to getting us on our way.

Having said that, BIG improvement is needed if we're to give ourselves a shot.

we have zero to lose in this game.

with who is playing each other next week, and if results go our way this week.

we could actually lose next week and still remain in 4th spot, considering our percentage.

i hope this is told to the players, and that they are free to go for it, give it everything and lets finally beat the mugs. if we take risk and lose, so what, we are still forth, but if we take risks and win ... the positive are huge.

then play the bummers the week after and smash those bastards. confidence could be very high.

I'm not into omens at all, but when I bought my reserved seat on Ticketmaster, that curly writing they make you type in before you buy it, the two words were "morbid 25" - I hope it wasn't referring to Fev.

The saints will appreciate a challenge and rise to the occasion. We need to stop 3 of Reiwoldt, Kosi, Hayed and Dal Santo to win this one. It's gonna be very tough.

i feel we are going to have to really play the hard 4 quaters of footy unlike tonight we went hard for 3 quaters and tired in the last.

I feel that if any team is going to roll the saint will be us... i feel we have been playing great footy this year considering it has been one of our best starts so far and will really give us a confidence going into the break

i am confident we can win next weeks game

Big game with many players to stop
AJ to Hayes
Army to Milne
Bower to Kosi
Thornton to Riewoldt
Carrots to Gram
Judd will cop Baker/Jones

Gibbs/Murph head to head against Dal Santo/Montagna

King will get at least a week suspension

No reason why we cant win this one providing we find a route to goal without the heavy reliance on Fev.

Tonight he kicked 50% of our goals and it's hard to tell if it was a case of us returning to old habits (Fev conscious) or coaching instruction designed to exploit a weakened defence. I hope the latter was the case.

The saints will play extra numbers back.

The likes of Bower, Jamo, Tbird, (Austin) etc. should serve us well down back providing the ball doesn't come down there too easily - so as in many of our games, this will be won/lost in the midfield.

If we go in to this game with the right attitude and give it all we've got then its not out of the question.

Joseph will rape Milne

He will like that too much.....

Big chance this week, not so much that we would deserve to win this game based on form, but the saints will drop a game sooner or later and we have had a good lead-up game exactly at the right time.

I reckon the saints will be satisfied after today's "streak-breaking" victory and come into the game not quite so switched on next week.

Hit them on the scoreboard early and we are a chance.

Of course we're a 'chance'.

Everyones a 'chance'.

But we won't win, we'll play well in patches and match them in some areas, but coming off a hard game in Brisbane to play St.Kilda, who we havent beaten since our coach was leading our possesions is going to be a very tough ask.

We will win by a ratio of 7 points to the goal.

Thanks Melvey jr.... A bit of optimism please

Seriously, something's gotta give sooner or later - streaks don't last forever, it doesn't matter how good you are. Just ask :garthp: about 2004

North went man on man today, and in the first half, before they lost players to injury, it worked. They backed in their backmen to win man on man, and it meant that St Kilda's run through the midfield was stifled, especially when balls were turned over by North. Play zone and turn it over, and you get burned going back. Play man on man, and the opposition don't have loose men all over the place when you turn it over. Something to learn from that I think, more clubs might try it.

Also, DO NO LET FISHER PLAY LOOSE ACROSS THEIR HALF BACK LINE.
