Apart from all those young players mentioned already who all played very well, I just feel so much more confident with Houlihan, Scotland and Grigg in the team...

Was about to post that AJ would be a chance for NRS this week. Got talked up a bit tonight, and if he keeps going like that, won't be too far away. Doesn't matter too much anyway, the main thing is Wayne Hughes has found us a ripper.

QFT. If I hear anything about Army's disposal this week I'll spew. The way he takes on the game is fantastic.

That last quarter was nerve wracking, to say the least.

Despite giving up four quick goals, it was pleasing to see we were able to fight back into the game and hold our nerve, even if I lost mine altogether.

I think Voss cocked that game up by moving Bradshaw off Fev in the third quarter. It was a bloody good win, but it could have been better.

Still, I'm rapted we held on and the interstate win will be good for our confidence. The odds will be well against us but I would love nothing more than a big win next week.

Great win interstate against a pretty good team.

Big things for me:

Finally had a mobile defence that provided run and carry and was certainly quicker.
Bower, Thornton & Jamison worked well together.
The contributions of AJ, Browne (saw what I saw in him at U/18's), Garlett, Armfield.
Hampson in the ruck had more presence than Kruezer & IMO is developing quicker than expected
Forward defensive pressure was very good

great to WIN a close one this year. I dont think I could of taken another narrow defeat after Essendon*, hawthorn & fremantle.

AJ outstanding

good to see Jamison fight his way back into the game on Bradshaw after a shocking start. I wonder if Austin will put heat on Jamo's position in the team.

I think we looked better tonight when Hampson was in the ruck - Kreuzer was out muscled by Clark I thought - Kreuzer better when the ball hit the ground would have liked to see him at CHF for part of the game at least.

I rather enjoyed the 'look through time' at Fev's grip over the years. I look forward to the Hollywood biopic starring Eric Bana as Fev, and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as his hands.

I feel that the last quater we really let our guards down clearly brisbane was the strongest of that quater... we had our chances to dominate...

we allowed brisbane to get back into the game...

but overall some great players emerging for us and showing some great talent...

gartlett could have steadyed a bit more in the last quater but tried to do something special but that is just inexperience him and betts could be dangerous when garlett comes on in a few years...

Arron joseph sensational continually improving each game

but most of all we had a win interstate and can only boost our confidence up a bit

good to see fev get a few free kicks but i loved the comment from the young brisbane player made i think it was i have had ya worried tonight or something like that against fev with fevs resposne being well ya cant have worried me that much i have already kicked 5 on ya in a quater and a half...

overall i am happy in the way we played and i think ratts interview after the game went well and good

Rich looked the goods - sorry

Wrapped we took the points, and glad the boys played with intent, focus and heart....

You play with a plan, and passion, and heart and at least we know where we are lacking and where we are on track.

Kudos to Hampson and Kruz...

Pleasing night of football..
