Simmo a shot on the siren, must kick it to give us a small break with the amount of ball we had in the last 10mins.

Split the middle!!

Blues: 3 6 24
Lions: 2 2 14

- Lions lacking forward options and putting numbers back to block Fev as the quarter wore on.
- Our tackling improved after a sluggish start, it all starts at the banner boys.
- Gibbs is the general
- T-Bird playing well on Brown
- Nobody playing poorly at this stage, all appear switched on.

Great work by Simpson to nail that goal after the siren. We followed a familiar pattern in that quarter, plenty of ball inside 50, but not enough score to show for it.

Just need more polish in front of goal don't we. :?

Still, plenty of positives in the quarter, so keep it up lads.

Robert Walls = MUTE BUTTON.

The Blues and Bower instantly seemed to play so much better once I hit the mute button. The tension just kind of eased out of my neck and shoulders

Go Blues

Looked wobbly early but dominated last 2/3 of quarter - If our forwards were better we'd be 5 goals up.

Fev - has totally lost "shape" with his shots at goal - career worst kicking form
Fisher - what's the point giving him the ball further than 30m out? embarrassing
Setanta - struggling

Other than that we've been much better - particularly like the new ability to hang on to the ball, step back and around opponents to buy more time to make a decision. Murph has been doing it all year, now the others are doing it, and we're controlling the ball well. Still not quite gelling yet.

Thornton - superb
Bower - good without the ball, not so with it
Carrazzo and Grigg - unimpressive with the ball.

What a boring game so far.

Any team that gets a run on will win this with a 4-5 goal burst.

Adcock gets a 50 m penalty via Fev's knee.

Gets taken down to Brisbane's forward 50. Brown lining up. Post.

Carlton 3. 7. 25
Brisbane 2. 3. 15
