The vitriol directed his way is not only disappointing and disgraceful coming from within our own ranks but completely over the top. He's a footballer. The way a few too many celebrate his shortcomings and failures as such are quite sickening.

That's all.

I agree Seanpb.

Carlton takes on the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night with Ratten saying Andrew Carrazzo, Shaun Grigg and Heath Scotland were all in line for recalls to the senior side.

Interesting that Ratts commented earlier in the week about making the mistake of taking too many inexperienced players interstate.

Would like to see Carazzo given a game in the Ants before coming back into the side, but would like to see Scotland and Grigg back into the side !!!!!!!!!! Think on of Armfield/Browne would be very lucky, but miss out, and would like to see Grigg in for Russel but think it would be more likely that one of Robinson (crazy since we just faught his suspension), Garlett (VERY unlucky, like what he adds to the side and showed some class) or Austin (Again VERY unlucky, but our defence is a little top heavy with Bower, Jamison, Thornton, Carlos and Austin all in the side, and Grigg and Scotland are both predominantly defenders) missing out.

So it would be
In. Scotland and Grigg
Out. Prefered outs would be Browne and Russel but likely out would be one of Browne/Armfield and one of Robinson/Garlett/Austin

Think my evaluation of things were pretty good yesterday, just got the out's a little off. Robinson is good for a rest (not sure why we challenged the suspension if he was missing the week anyway .............), Austin makes us a little top heavy (I would prefer him in the side and Carlos out, but Brown and Bradshaw are a little big for him so Setanta stays in to add some muscle to defence) and Russel if FINALLY dropped (he needs some time in the Ant's, where there is A LOT less pressure, to regain some form). I now expect Carazzo to be 100%, otherwise he should have stayed out for the week, and I am glad Scotland and Grigg are both in.

The selections this suggest we are getting serious
It was about this time last year where They starting running over sides late in the game
With a little luck we have prepared the same this year
Scotland Carazzo and grigg should all be fresh
Austin unlucky but we were to tall down back

Big 3 or 4 weeks coming up
Let's silence the knockers

Bit disappointed with the changes. Austin was solid last week. I hope we haven't fallen for the trick of mixing up names with form. We have Carrazzo who I like but has only played twice this year and has been missing for weeks, Grigg whose form last week with the Ants was apparently rusty, and Scotto who has missed a couple. I would have made two changes at most and kept Austin in. Time will tell but selection has hurt us in a few close games, let's hope we don't have three players underdone on Saturday night.

LMFAO at all the posters celebrating Russell's omission. They're all in for a nasty shock come 7PM Saturday.

Not sure I agree...Austin was dropped for team balance as we would have been too top heavy with him in the team. We need more run. Russell's ommission was obvious I would have thought and Robbo is coming along nicely but needs more time.

Carazzo is a big in for us. Ball magnet and if used well is very very good in close with his hands. Should be used in the guts to work the ball out for Judd and co. and rested up forward to provide defensive pressure and footy smarts in and around the fall of the ball.

Scotland and Grigg in to provide better midfield rotations. Guys like Grigg and Carazzo and very soon Walker are the guys most suited we need to give Judd the feed and protection he needs.

I barrack for the Carlton Football Club.

When I think something good happens to the Carlton Football Club it makes me happy.

I barrack for the Carlton Football Club.

If players improve and make the Carlton Football Club better, that makes me happy.

If players do not improve and make the Carlton Football Club worse, that makes me sad.

If players win a premiership for the Carlton Football Club that makes me very happy.

If players put in 100% and get the best out of themselves even if they do not get a premiership that also makes me happy because it is good for the Carlton Football Club.

So I'm doubly happy, I'm absolutely positive that JR has put in 100%, there is no doubt about that, but I am happy he has been dropped at the same time, very happy, because I think it is good for the Carlton Football Club.

I am also happy about the Russell omission, but am fearful with Scotland and Carazzo having queries over their fitness, the 'joy' may be shortlived. I know there are another 2 emergencies, but you just know JR would be the first picked out of them, I mean the MC probably had sleepless nights even contemplating using the 'd' word and JR in the same sentence.

I have a lot of time for Russell. Still in the 'potential' category though when he probably should be developing faster but definitely worth persisting with. Seen a few of his interviews and he seems pretty professional and level-headed. I like his approach he is pretty hard at it in the contests and can dish out the handball out of the congestion...but he has to do more of it.

Really disappointed for Austin, but feel like it had more to do with balance than form...

Would have liked Hadley in, just because I'll be watching with my Lions supporting mate who was filthy about losing him and I'll not be able to rub it in...

Like the ins, as long as they're fit...

even if that happens, it's a good wake-up call for russell... i think a couple games in the 2s and he'll have his confidence back.

pretty happy with the selection, austin omission a bit stiff but ratts did say he was going for maturity so hopefully it pays off, and austin will be back very soon me thinks

im getting more confident about this game, and my lions-supporting family is a little bit worried!

Is there a Jarusa fan club I can subscribe to? I agree with approximately 100% of his posts.

Apparently the 22 is not a sure thing. A couple of our older players are 50/50. Our oldest player is unsure to Play!

That's the Vibe Daryl.
