I dont know whether to take you seriously with that remark given some of the crap that gets sprouted on here! :screwy:

We are a massive chance on Sat night, to say we aren't is ridiculous.

Can't say i'd drop Robbo to be honest.

He had his fair share of wonky dissposals, but he tackled and chased hard and provided an awesome contested marking option. I saw him take at least 3 tough marks the other day that some other players would have easilly dropped.

They say Carrazzo is "Fit", but is he "Match Fit"?

Joey and Bannister, who have been consistant in the two's, MUST MUST MUST come in for the lovechild. Enough's enoughs! :banghead:

CONGRATS To Setanta. It's been............well,............it's been bumpy to say the least. But i admire you willingness and determination. Keep your head up and hold strong in your belief. You could well end up a good player yet, and not just an athlete with loads of potential.

So, for me:-

Ins':- Anderson (or Bannister)
Outs:- Russell.

Grigg is unlucky, cause i'd like him in, but for that you'd have to drop Browne or somebody similar, and most of those types did ok last week.

From another site when I questioned why you'd tip the Blues in a Gambling Forum

Quote:
Firstly Carlton's road record is terrible, but this is part of why I like this bet, they have an 8 day break leading into the game so have a great lead in preparation wise and will use their record as motivation IMO. They had a good win up there late last year.

Brisbane coming off 4 trips to Melbourne in the past 6 weeks and the past 2 weeks on the road and concrete of ES. Despite their good form they are the 2nd worst team for conceeding Inside 50's averaging 54 per game, only Melbourne are worse with 55. With Carltons midfield you can almost guarantee they will get the ball I50 at least 50 times, this should be enough to give them a more than competitive score. Adelaide is the only decent team Brisbane have beaten this year and that was only on a good second half of footy. Swans are the only team they have beaten who are currently inside the 8.

Will do some more study during the week but at the moment this will be a 4 Unit play on Carlton at the line and maybe a unit on the ML

Nice to hear Scotto, Carrazzo and Grigg likely to come in.

Outs must be Russell, Armfield, (unfortunately, but not for long) Garlett.

That will give us a 50/50 chance. If they drop Houlihan, Setanta, Hampson - Ratten has shown he hasn't learnt a thing despite what he says.

On the couch comment was telling - too may young ins when travelling and against Adelaide,
I'm guessing MC are getting a bit formulaic and may well drop a "young" for an old "Carazzo/Scotland"?
Who the young will be....??? Garlett?, Browne? not Robbo

This is what I'm guessing. Everything else being equal (that is no injuries etc) and if we weren't playing away, I would see it as "no change"...as I said MC seesm a bit formulaic

It's a pretty interesting week to predict changes. Given Ratts' comments OTC regarding travelling with a more experienced mob, you'd have to say Carazzo is there and we may see one or both of Scotto and Griggsy as well. The outs in that case would likely be three of Browne, Army, Robbo or Garlett. I don't agree with all of that, particularly tough if Browne, Robbo or Garlett get the axe. Given the ins, you can make a case for Army to go, he's been off his best. I'd include JR in the potential outs as well, but Ratts backed him OTC and given supporter criticism of JR came up specifically, the timing of his omission this week might lead people to believe that the MC can be swayed by public perception, which is a topic I doubt they'd want to have anywhere near them.

By the way, thanks for all the Brisbane pub info, anyone going to be at any of those fine establishments pre-game?

If we play Robinson this week we're effectively going in a man down. He was stuffed last week.

For anyone in Perth having to suffer through the Dockers and Port (I know Grro has talked about it so I wont repeat what has been said about the failings of the Foxtel/FTA setup for WA and SA viewers) but the Odin Tavern is showing the game live from 5.10 Perth time, I assume other venues (Greenwood etc) will also be coming to the party.

Well, if Carrazzo, Scotto and Grigg aren't in our best 22 we're alot better than 5/5.

If Russell, Garlett and Armfield are right now, we're much worse than I thought*.

*Garlett will be in2-3 years without doubt. Army and Rusty.....eh cosi, cosi.

If Carrazzo Scotland and Grigg all come in I think Army Robbo and Russell might make way.

I don't think the MC are going to second guess themselves based on what's come up in media chat.

If Bradshaw wasn't playing, or was certain to spend more time in the backline, I'd be tempted to give Jamo a week off - he's struggling a bit, and we need an extra runner in the backline. Setanta, Bower, Austin gives us enough flexibility if Jamo were to miss.

Good side IMO...personally would have omitted Setanta and kept Austin in, but selection all about match-ups this week.
