But without the benefit of video footage how can the panel argue that he has 93 pts hanging over his head when there is no footage?

Because there was still an admission of a 'reckless' act. Mitch got off because the emergency umpire changed his story...I was going to use the word 'testimony', but that would be ridiculous...they really should televise this stuff so we can all witness what a farce it is...I imagine Mitch didn't get the opportunity to speak, otherwise they would have been in there for a few hours.

Even though $780million has been poured into AFL TV rights, it's odd that we don't have televised tribunal hearings.

I think they would be a great addition to the game.

The AFL may prefer to keep the tribunal's apparent ineptitude hidden from public view, it really does seem like chooklotto as a footy fan.

If one of the networks waved $1mil in from of their noses the AFL would be squawking like there is no tomorrow.

Not sure how this craparse chooklotto works, but (ignoring that he is now available) for the future, is getting off but having a reprimand and 93 points better than taking the week and wiping the 93 points but having a GUILTY on his record?

It means he's still eligible for the NRS

Unless the criteria regarding tribunal appearances is different to that for the Brownlow, no he's not.

I thought a guilty finding and a suspension ruled you out. Adam Goodes remained eligible for the Brownlow last year (I think) because of this loophole, I thought.

Actually he's been ineligible for two years despite not missing a game through suspension. ;)
