I would love to get a bigger body in the middle to help out and get first possession other than Juddy.

If we could afford the luxury, Scotto and Carrots tag teaming in the middle would really bother the opposition. Ball magnets. Strong bodies. Experienced. Tough.

If only we could have Carorts back in the guts to dish it out and help break the lines with fast linking handball.

He was wasted in the Ants with his 100 plus possessions in the first 2 rounds.

He seems to be the type who keeps his fitness at peak levels and ready for the call up.

If he's fit, and ready he should play ahead of Hadley (another hard body but a bit out of form).Hadley would be tempting to pick against his old team.

If it's true that Yarran would have played if not for a funeral, then I wander if he'd be picked straight up.

Possible Ins: Scotland, Grigg, Yarran, Carrots, Hadley

Possible outs: Robbo, Russell, Garlett, Browne, Armfield...maybe Austin

We've got to win this one...really really really have to win.

6 wins 5 losses has a nice ring about it. Even better with a percentage of 121%.

A guy like Josh Drummond will expose Houlihan and Fisher for there lack of pace.

Could be risky bringing in an underdone Carrots and Grigg in such a crucial game. Give em another week in the VFL

If Carazzo is ready he must come straight back into the seniors...

I'd love to see Joseph being given a go on Black. Black has routinely destroyed us and while he is taller and stronger than Joseph's general opponent, I think Joseph has shown enough generally but equally on bigger opponents he'd be ripe for it. Take out Black from the middle and they've lost their main feeder.

Setanta's 50th this week so I hope he gets a good run around at half forward.

I agree molsey - AJ is the ONLY option for Black. I rate Black as one of the best players in the comp. His accuracy by hand or foot is second to none. Such a sexy footballer.

If AJ can do to him what he did to Kerr, we're in with a chance.

Scotto should come in for Russell - But I know that won't happen  .

We are finally going to start a game as underdogs for the first time this year. They have as many players out as we do so no excuses.
Jamo on Bradshaw
Thornton on Brown
Bower to be the creative one this week in the backline.
Go head to head in the middle no tagging.
Have a defensive mindset for Drummond, Adcock and Hooper.
Quick ball movement into Fev and hopefully he is not thinking about the nightclub he is going to after the game until after the game.

I think Bradshaw will play back as they don't have any big defenders to play on Fev.

Agree on Bradshaw DUC. I think they'll probably start him forward but if Fev/Fish get away, and Brown is doing the business as he usually does, they'll play him back.

They're backline is in a pretty bad way.

Garlett great game (6 inside 50s, 2 goals, 2 goal assists), Aussie also a good game, Browne getting better with each game......so why drop them ?

Russell, now you're talking  but we all know he's as safe as houses.

I'd go

IN: Grigg, Scotland or Carrots depending on fitness
OUT: JR, Armfield

Maybe we won't have to worry about Bradshaw kicking a bag?
Quote:
Full back Daniel Merrett is out for another two weeks, so Daniel Bradshaw may get called on to help out.
“We might be under pressure a little bit so we’ll put Daniel down there as a spare as we did on the weekend,” Voss said.

Looks like JR is safe:
Quote:
Travis Johnstone is expected to be recalled after a best on ground effort for the Lions reserves on Sunday.

I'm not dropping anyone. I have just nominated the possibles to get a call up and some of the fringe players who are likely to be considered for ommission.

We are not going to make 5 changes; maybe 2 changes to a winning team.

Garlett was very good on Friday, but he isn't guaranteed a spot, as aren't our recent additions in Robbo, Browne, Armfield...and Russell must be considered a fringe player because he isn't a playmaker.

I hate playing Brisbane because Bradshaw always carves us up.
AJ onto Black to make his life difficult.

Rich has tiny hands.

Garlett might be sprightly and raw and a stick, but I tell you the kid is like an elastic band they way he takes those marks that he has no business marking with his back arched.

Garlett tackles and chases so he is constantly harrassing, which can only lead to a rushed kick/handball and then a turn over.

He hasn't earned his place in the side but is doing the 1%ers, which is great in my book.

I would love to see us start with a really aggressive set up.

Their backline is already a concern, so lets start Kruezer in the goal square with Fev from the very first bounce. He doesn't have to stay there all game, but if Voss is worried about their ability to cover Fev, he will shat himself at the prospect of Kruezer playing the majority of the game as a forward as well.

After that we can rotate him around, but FFS get on the front foot and who knows? he might dob a couple of quick ones and really make them think.

Drop Russell
He continues to get a game when he doesnt deserve it based on his peformances
His last 2 weeks have been crapola football. Even his best fans would think this
For his own confidence he needs to go back to a lower standard of footy

Of course that is unlikely I mean we won by 41 points and Robinson will be one forced change anyway.

So once Russell is dropped who becomes the new whipping boy?? Houlihan perhaps? Armfield, Robbo or Browne

Russell will never be dropped because he has a guaranteed spot no matter what, so there is no point suggesting it.

My ins are Grigg and Scotland (carazzo if he is fit)
Out:Robinson and ???
