I'm confident that we'll beat Sydney at the Dome in Rd 16.......however feel we are less than 50/50 against the Lions at the Gabba next weekend.
Bugger those close losses against the Bumbers, Dawks and Freo.

10 wins with a good percentage could see you sneek into the eight
11 wins will get you there for sure
12 could almost be top 4

I agree with your "wins", those games are certainly winnable. The worry is that we lose the next 4 (as you've indicated we might), completely stuffing any confidence we might have.

I'd put every single game in the 50/50 category...

...but if we manage to win 7 from 12 then finals are a certainty, especially with our percentage.

Rd 11 Brisbane Loss Brisbane at Gabba hard to win. Brisbane are travelling well and on home turf.
Rd 12 St.Kilda Loss Not up to their level. Haven't beaten them in years & don't expect to this year.
Rd 13 Essendon* 50/50 Carlton vs Essendon* can go either way, regardless of ladder position.
Rd 14 Fremantle Loss Couldn't beat them in neutral territory (Gold Coast), harder at (Subiaco) their turf.
Rd 15 Richmond Win Should beat them considering Rd 1 thrashing. However if they have a new coach by then, might be danger game.
Rd 16 Sydney 50/50 Home ground should favour us, but we struggle to overcome their game plan. This is why we haven't beaten them in years.
Rd 17 Collingwood 50/50 Refer to Essendon* game analysis above.
Rd 18 Nth.Melbourne Win Should beat them, considering form and ladder position's.
Rd 19 Geelong Loss Refer to St.Kilda game analysis above.
Rd 20 Pt.Adelaide 50/50 Depends which Carlton and Pt.Adelaide turn up to play. Both teams inconsistent.
Rd 21 Melbourne Win Should beat the bottom team. Same as Richmond, might turn out to be a danger game, as Melbourne are improving.
Rd 22 Adelaide 50/50 Refer to Sydney game analysis above.

Prediction: 3 wins, 5 x 50/50's, 4 losses
Therefore anywhere between 8-13 Win's in 2009.
Ladder Prediction: Anywhere between 7th to 11th in 2009.

11 BRISBANE @ Gabba - 33/67 - hope we do, but it will be tough up at the Gabba. If we can't, it probably means two losses on the trot...
12 STKILDA @ Dome - Loss
13 Essendon* @ MCG - Please o' please Lord, let us beat them. 1 point or 100, either will be fine.
14 FREMANTLE @ Subi - Win - Fev will be looking to make up for the Gold Coast, and Judd will enjoy playing at Subi.
15 RICHMOND @ MCG - Win - It's Ninethmond - surely we'll knock them off.
16 SYDNEY SWANS @ Dome - 50/50 - Should win, but then again we should have won last time too.
17 COLLINGWOOD @ MCG - Win - How do you spell bunny?
18 NORTH MELBOURNE @ Dome - Win - Never used to match up well against them, but do better these days.
19 GEELONG @ MCG- Loss - No shame in that.
20 PORT ADELAIDE @ AAMI - 50/50 - Will take a good effort over there, but is definitely possible. Something like 3 last quarter goals by no. 8 might do it.
21 MELBOURNE @ Dome - Win - One of those games that we should win if we want to play with the big boys.
22 ADELAIDE @ Dome - 50/50 - Win/Hoodoo - Can we break a well drilled zone by then? Can we deal with the pressure to win to make the finals (maybe)? Can we stop hacks like Maric from having their one or two good games for the season against us?

Definitely need to win 3 from the next 5 games or it will be tough.
Would be pretty happy to be 6 and 6 going into the bye round.

Very big ask to make the 8 from here .

Won't beat Geelong or St.Kilda .
Doubtful about Essendon* , Fremantle , Sydney , Adelaide , Brisbane .
Should beat Melbourne and Richmond .
The rest are dead-set 50/50 games .

Get the game plan right , and stop stuffing around at selection , and we might have an outside chance .

11 wins may be enough with a good perecentage, its very very even...could 10 wins even be enough? Brisbane did it in 1995....

11 BRISBANE @ Gabba - Maybe
Brisbane are hitting form, and will be playing at home. No Waite leaves us in trouble. Who to go on Brown? Setanta? Bower? Although, no merrit might mean Bradshaw could take Fevola. Either way, not an easy game.

12 STKILDA @ Dome - Loss
You would think that if we came out playing our 'kicking along the flanks' crap then we are going to get thrashed by the saints. They have Kosi, Riwoldt, Gardiner and others who can all outmark us in the contests. We have Kreuzer, and that's about it.

13 Essendon* @ MCG - Loss
Let's face it, they have our number. They have speed through the centre of the ground and create preasure on our mids forcing us wide.

14 FREMANTLE @ Subi - Maybe?
You would think that after Richmonds win we SHOULD be in with a chance. We really need to win this one and you would expect us too. But, after the way we played them last time, i'm not confident.

15 RICHMOND @ MCG - Win
GOD! If we loose this one then we have serious problems.

16 SYDNEY SWANS @ Dome - Loss
Much like Essendon*, these guys have our number! :-(

17 COLLINGWOOD @ MCG - Win
Win, we've been far to dominant with these guys recently.

18 NORTH MELBOURNE @ Dome - Win
Tides will turn!

19 GEELONG @ MCG- Loss
Nuthin to say really. Although i'm hyped up about a potential AJ Vs Ablett match-up!

20 PORT ADELAIDE @ AAMI - Maybe
If it was a home game i'd say a win, but we don't travel well.

21 MELBOURNE @ Dome - Win
Pencil it in.

22 ADELAIDE @ Dome - Maybe.
Tough one, depends how they are going. If they continue their current form, they could be making a push for a similar spot in the finals to us.

Basically, on our current form, i see us wining 4 easy and a couple of maybes. That leaves us with maybe 10 wins for the year. If we are to make the finals, i see the Brisbane and Freo away games as CRUICAL games...........because they are winnable.

My Prediction is for 12 wins and maybe finishing 7th or 8th with a healthy percentage.

I realistically believe we can win every game except St Kilda and Geelong.

Finals are in the hands of the beholder, if the players want it, they won't be dishing out anymore Adelaide halves and will fight to the death to make every opportunity count.

We will have more close games, win these will make finals a certainty.

Brisbane MAYBE
StKilda LOSS
Essendon* MAYBE
Fremantle MAYBE
Richmond WIN
Sydney MAYBE
Collingwood WIN
North WIN
Geelong LOSS
Melbourne WIN
Port Adelaide WIN
Adelaide LOSS

I have 5 Wins.

We match up very well on Port...we beat them twice last year so I don't see why we can't beat them this year.

I have Swans as a maybe, I don't rate the hacks and twice now we could have beaten them if a couple of things went our way, I expect us to beat a team we haven't for a while and I think it might be Sydney so looking at the draw and my predictions that would mean 4 wins in a row...now I doubt that will happen so wel'l probably lose one of Richmond, Collingwood or North.

I only see us realistically winning 5 more. So 10 wins is my reluctant prediction...reluctant because I'm sad about it..I wanted 12 or 13. Surprise me carlton and win 6 more...might guarantee us a spot in the 8!
