Fisher Thornton Houlihan Stevens all played well at times last night which contributed to the win so well done to them.
Can those players do it consistently and especially against the premiership contenders? History tells us that they can't and I don't think they will, but good on them for last night.

More importantly, it's easy to see the special qualities of some of the young guys who have a chance at taking us to the top of the ladder.
Guys like Kreuzer Hammer Austin with their athleticism, Murphy Gibbs Joseph all hungry to take the games on. Garlett Betts and Yarran all that Xfactor. Whilst Jamo is currently in a bit of a trot, he and Bower will grow into more than decent defenders IMO.

I'll take a 41 point win anytime thanks very much, but there's heaps and heaps of room for improvement, which is pretty exciting.

Highlight of the game for mine, top effort from Garlett.

Gee we're playing SHIT!!!

Another shit performance last night shows how shit West Coast actually are.

This was Carlton v Collingwood from 2 weeks ago all over again.

We will struggle to play finals this year if we keep it up.

I hope Warnock comes back soon because we need Kreuzer at CHF. It was laughable watching Setanta running around like a goose as one of our main targets.

I actually thought Setanta showed more last night than what Cloke ever has. He can link up, used the ball well and helped out team mates.

I agree we are playing shit. Any team in the eight would have bet us last night but keep in mind that 5 of our best 22 are missing from our squad.

One thing that needs mentioning is that nearly 40 thousand turned up - 98% of these Carlton ppl. If this game had been at PP it would have drawn no more then 15 - 20 K.

Ethihad works very well for families etc. who can use the train to get to the game and night games at 18 C are more comfy then freezing your arse off at the G.

Just a pitty that the $$$ side is not working out.

Good post Budzy.
Those senior players you mentioned let us down too often, the youngsters are where the future success lies.
Mark Austin is value for a 3rd round pick.

I've moved on to next week, that's when we will know where we are at and if we have learnt anything from the Adelaide game.

Just watching the replay.

2 things in the 3rd Q.

Juddy picks up a loose ball WELL INTO defensive 50. Streams out of defensive 50, roosts the ball from one end of the centre square to Fev 1-on-1 at our F50 metre line. Fev moves his opponent under the ball and races to pick it up and kick the goal. GORGEOUS piece of football!

ANd about 12 mins to go in the quarter, stoppage in our F50, camera picks up fev do a great block on Stenglein for Juddy. Next stoppage he tries the same thing but Stenglein has a good hold of Juddy and nuthin happens. But gerat to see the cogs ticking in Fev's brain.

rough conduct on selwood (by reserve ump I think.) And Selwood should go for the punch he gave JR in retaliation a few moments later

if you weren't so busy moderating certain 'gents and their sailors' you'd probably catch a lot more stuff Mrs C.

I saw Robbo running towards the bench, Selwood was running onto the ground. It was about 30M away from the boundary and for some reason Selwood made a beeline for Robbo and bumped him, they were both well away from play, no other player was within cooee of them. I didn't think much of it, thought it was unusual that it happened so far away from the interchange.

If that was the incident then Robinson should have nothing to worry about.

that was it - as for whether he will go or not - who the @#$%&! knows  Could get rubbed out for life or have a statue of him erected outside the ground.

Was it that, or did Robbo retaliate?

Seemed to be just a bump, not much in it.

But we were sitting way way back in the third tier thanks to CK, so the vast distance may mean I missed something.
