Another thing, Jarrad will be brand new when he gets back. Listening to his interview he was incredibly upbeat, was resigned to getting it right and the rehab ahead whilst the club was tooling around deciding whether he was right to play later in the season.

A good attitude is premium for these blokes. Jarrad will be sweet as come round 1 next year.

Just bad luck, extremely surprised it didn't go completely.

This is an opportunity to see how Austin goes for the next 13 rounds at least. Same for Setanta. Unfortunately Setanta has no friends at MC level so will make it a bit hard but i'm definitely excited by Austin.

He's been eased into it for 2 and a bit years, i reckon he's ready.

The thing i'm spewing about Waite is that Ratts and co. were finally starting to open their eyes to his potential up forward instead of being cornered as a rebounding backman.

They seem to have a knack for putting on the blinkers. Refer to Waite ('he's a backman'), Setanta ('he's a forward), Houlihan ('needs to tackle more'), Wiggins ('he's our heart and soul')...just ridiculous comments made in public....no one needs to know that...and it's pointless pigeon holing players when a team structure hasn't been decided on in the lasy 30 months.

Good luck Jarrad.

For the club the silver lining is the 12 or so games we can get into a younger player on the list for the rest of this season.

We now have Waite, Walker, Wiggins, Warnock all injured. Welease Wodger!

Interesting to see this "occurred" to Daryl Timms and/or Chris de Kretser at the Herald Sun today.

Although they didn't go with "Wodger" tagline.

I bwought up the Waite, Walker and Warnock earlier in the week, as they are all now LTI. Wiggins must be worried.

So why didn't he have the LARS technique?

Peter Bruckner was on SEN yesterday talking abut knee recos. He said the jury is still out on LARS. 3 footballers had LARS at the same time. Malceski made it back early but now has recurring leg injuries and has stalled big time. A Freo player and a NRL player have both had major setbacks.
The traditional method, players are now back ready to play as shown by Bradshaw and Prismall where after 9 months they can play footy at the same standard as before the op rather than being weak for a year.
I'm glad Waite did the traditional reco. He's too valuable a commodity to use as Gerard Healy's guinea pig.

But surely, as an eminent surgeon with extensive experience in joint reconstructions, Gerard Healy would know best?

Or am I getting him confused with an ex-footballer turned cash-for-comment media whore who once practiced as a physiotherapist over a decade ago?

Lost me with his undisclosed interests in his on-air Ben Cousins lobbying, I'm afraid. Pity, because he's definitely one of the better ones.

He's not the comments man he was five years ago. We don't turn these idiots over enough and too many of them start resting on their laurels for some easy cash.

If you have met him, you would have found him to be real pleasant company with his layback style. He's no fake. He's qualified and made the commitment to put himself through the best physio course in the land to get him his Profession.

I look at Judd and he's the best of all time. In every way. How he carries himself. How he lets his footy do the talking. How he pushes his intellect.

I would say Gerard Healy is a close fit in terms of the Juddism....really close.

One of the best players I've ever seen. Ask Diesel about him....60 metre torp goals on the run from the centre of the SCG.

Top footballer as a teenager at FP next to Jacko at, he was kicking 70 odd goals at the Dees, and later as the Brownlow Medallist and AA ruck rover with the Swans getting minimum 35 disposals: Diesel like...lots of skill both sides. Good mark.

He is from the Mornington Peninsula and as kid he was a champion at senior level.

He's a goer. Great guy.
