Watson news update just said a full reco.

How the hell would he know? Is he the surgon? You guys listen too much to the media.

When is the last time they gave news like that concerning a player that turned out to be false...then again, has he seen the surgeon yet? :?

Man does this mean he will lose his best thing to Carlton, his leap and going for a run like he has when he comes back. Kouta was never the same in my opinion when he done his knee.

Nah. He'll be fine when he comes back. Kouta was aging and a big unit when he suffered it

Other players that have had Reco's and have come back...... Goddard, Malceski, Hadley, Mitch Hahn, Lenny Hayes, Wojinski, Didak and so on

He sees the surgeon today to determine the next stages for recovery.

There is a story on the club website saying he will have arthroscopic surgery.

You'd think 4-6 for that, wouldn't you?

But I'm with a few others... get it right. He's the x-factor for us and we'll need him when Choco Williams takes us to our 17th flag

It's 6-8 without any surgery at all.

The options are to do nothing, as with the Giansiracusa outcome, and brace it and take the conservative rehab approach of about 6-8 weeks, or they might repair the lateral meniscus through a scope or, of course, the other option is a reconstruction.

The scope may not tack on any extra time, but it's round 1 return if they do a reconstruction now. If the rest option fails, he misses games next year as well.

sounds like the wait and see approach has been taken

delay surgery see if it heals itself in time to come back in 8 or so weeks for an assault on the finals

if in that time it appears finals are gone - and the healing isnt up to scratch a full reco will take place and he should have enough time to make it back for the start of next year

Arthroscopy to fix up the lateral meniscus. Decision on ACL will be made after that.

Quote:
The course of rehabilitation to be undertaken for the partial tear of the ACL will be confirmed following the arthroscopic surgery later this week.

Lateral meniscus??? :sly:
based on the vision whatever the meniscus problem is (I would've thought medial - but hey) has little to do with the ACL rehab. Fingers crossed they have guessed correctly. Good luck Jarrod...hard work and a spot of luck and he'll be fine whatever happens.

Encouraging news I guess.....fingers crossed a full reco won't be required and it will heal itself.

From the outside looking in, our track record in managing injuries is not great
