John Ralph has said that the word from Carlton is that he has damaged his ACL but they are waiting for scans tomorrow to confirm it.

behind judd, probably the worst bloke it could've happened to in terms of what it means for us on-field. just when he was starting to make his mark on the comp and had a couple of good seasons with injury, this happens.

i know it's still unconfirmed but the replay didn't look promising. all the best to waitey and hopefully players like austin and bower can step up.

its pretty much confirmed. either its a partial tear or full rupture. regardless, it will be a long stint on the sidelines. no point playing with it partially torn either. He wont even be able to go at 50%. This really tops the @#$%&! day off!!!

I guess we can all begin planning other leisure activities for September.

Negative? Yes, but we simply could not afford to lose Waitey.

do not think anything else could have happened on the weekend that could have been much worse .... lost with no heart, Waite injured (longterm by the looks), still no visible gameplan .... could have taken most of it as we are young and still learning but the injury to Waite really hit me in the guts ... really feel for him was turning into such a gun this season.

Doc Larkins says 98% certain that he will need a full reco looking at the footage.

That would be it then for this year. No chance at AA selection now.

Should be back in the second half of next year?

It doesn't take that long. He'll be right for the start of 2010 season

10 months he'll be back playing, whether he loses his mobility and freak factor for a season is another thing.

shocking news. just so bitterly disappointed for him. I reckon he'd be top 3 in the B & F at the moment. season would now seem to be teetering

Ian Coutts has confirmed that Jarrod has a partial ACL tear and will consult his surgeon on an appropriate rehab. What is the best approach with partial tears? Will it mend by itself?

Devasting news. Best wishes to Waitey and his family. For mine, he was in career best form.

I hate to be negative, but I felt like our season slipped away when he went down.

Giansiracusa had one in during the 2008 pre season and I think after having some weeks off he returned and posted career best numbers last year. Riewoldt had a scare last pre season too.
