The only guy willing to 'run and carry' (the buzz term in AFL at the moment), break some lines and have a real dip at it and you guys want to drop him?

Geez, if the rest of the side matched his intensity and willingness to run and tackle tody we;d have won easily.

No doubt Army tries his guts out, and you're right seems one of the few players (with Judd, Murph and Robbo) willing to storm through the opposition's defences and make a go of it no doubt from his rugby background. The problem is disposal and awareness, which hopefully will improve. But unless he gets a JR'esque run at things to prove himself I can't see him in our long-term plans.

He just needs to compose himself before he kicks. Surely he showed there's something to work with and he's worth persevering with.

We'll win by 40 next week when it should be 100, as the guys will be happy to go sidewards, and hold the ball up (as they did against the Filth). JR will beat his man (no-one will know who it really is though) after somehow keeping his spot this week.

The next week is yet another hoodoo game......yep we've got a closet full of 'em........and we;ll get smashed by 40.

i'd like us to try find other options up fwrd when things arent going so well.... (we know the chief, hoops are not long term options and the fev is out of sorts but a champ never-the-less)

thornton...can take a mark. 10/15 minutes up front can cause some trouble
austin....should be rotated through the fwrd line...great instincts and can kick true
Gibbs/Judd more often to go up front to mix things up a bit.

Kreuzer gives it a fair dinkum crack every time the balls comes near. cant say much about the others. Eddie is superb ont he ground....maybe time to give him a spell in the midfield. got great disposal and sneaky hands

anyone else on our list out of the ordinary who u think could be rotated fwrd and kick a goal?

Right now - as it stands - we DO NOT deserve to win this game.

Sorry guys, - insert insults to me below if it makes you feel better.

But - that's the hard cold facts. We are playing sub-par football and quite frankly, we do not deserve to win.

There are issue going on with this club that need to be addressed ASAP - and i'm not talking about our game plan (although that's an important one too).

Something going on behind the scenes???? What are the issues?

Strange comment saying we dont deserve to beat the Eagles. The game hasnt started yet. What if we are better than them?

Could this be the first nil all draw in AFL history?

Behind the scenes?
hmmmmmmm. well, without saying too much, and to protect my source (whom i trust highly).........

After the Hawthorn loss, a bunch of players were out till all hours of the morning on the turps.

After the freo game (which, let's face it - was a disgraceful effort) we had, yet again, more players out on the turps (and from what i've been told, there were certain board members out with them).

In my honest opinion - i really don't think we are taking things seriously. I honestly believe that we, as a club (and i say that meaning Th club, it's players, the entire board and coaching staff AND us - the supporters)................... are just prentending.

We believe that because we have Judd......... #1st round draft picks......... Pratts money...........etc etc etc,...................we are almost GUARANTEED success.

I believe that we are at an important crossroads right here-right now! We need to really step back and have a good hard look at ourselves. All Of Us.
The intensity is gone. The heart is gone. The self-belief is gone. The respect is gone.

We are a bottom 4 team guys - and that's the truth. HOWEVER - we have the potential to be a Top 4 team. But as it stands, i don't believe that we have the maturity in which to become one.

Interested to see how Hammer goes against the big Cox.

Anyone who watched todays game and thinks that Russell deserves to play next week must be joking. He had 5 goals kicked on him today, he was murdered by Knights, often he was in the wrong spots, brushed off too easy and he shits himself.

Enough is enough, why has he become a protected species, he has been in the system for FIVE bloody years, he will be 23 years old later this year and has played over 60 games of football.

For some reason he is protected and continues to get a game, should be dropped for next week.

You know i have never responded to your diatribe, which takes negativity to new levels i must add, but how you can seriously advocate you hope an opposition player stars against your own team ? Just takes your "support" to new stratosphere [edit].

And you cant use the argument that you just hope he alone does well and not his team.
Imagine if he kicked 7 goals, think we would still win ?
Thats your argument right there in said proverbial nutshell.

Perhaps you could be measured in your jump the gun precociousness ?
You cant be like that all the time just to get a rise out of people can you ?
If so, well then i take my hat off to your diligence !

Some aggressives on here might say y[edit], i certainly dont, maybe youre like Jessica Rabbit and just badly drawn !

Go Blues !
