A beautiful warm day is forecast for Adelaide, top of 23  (winter is around the corner :yikes:).

A solid 4 quarter performance is needed today boys.

A Win and we could potentially move up to 3rd.

GO BLUES!!!!

Well i just lost everything i typed because of the stupid compatibiity mode in IE8.

The general gist was the following points:

- AJ on Van Berlo who will probably go to Stevens.
- My tip is Vince to Judd
- JR to McLeod
- Kreuzer and Hammer to expose Adelaide's defence
- Must stop the runners of Adelaide in Reilly, Vince, Van Berlo, McKay and minimise the influence of Goodwin and Thompson as the big bodies around the ball.

Adelaide aren't a high scoring team, 1 score over 100 this season, but I'm expecting a very close game. Adelaide don't lay down, they aren't easy beats so unlike last year, if we build a lead in the first quarter we need to either go on with it, or implement a holding pattern to snuff any comeback the Crows mount. The Crows will come at us at some stage, it's a matter of how we handle it and based on this whether we win. IMO we will handle it and win by 14pts in a closely fought game.

It's overcast, with warmish winds coming from the north-east.

Strange weather. :screwy:

I get to ride the footy express with all the Crows fans today.

No doubt lots of verbal sparing will occur. :fight:

90% of Crows fans are harmless anyway. Delusional, but harmless.

I'm pumped at the moment, but trying to keep a lid on things.

Don't want to go too hard too early, or else I'll be jumping out of my skin by game time.

Ahh who am I kidding? I'll be breathing fire and brimstone by the time Juddy wins the first clearance, and hits Fev lace out!

Only having the chance to see the boys once or twice a year does strange thing to you.

Pressure is on the Crows today over here. In many respects it is the last throw of the dice for them with Hawks playing here next week. Lose this and good chance they will 3-7 at the end of next week.

We need to bring our A game and most importantly put scoreboard pressure on. Put doubts in their mind. During the game they will come and the crowd will get behind them. It will be a good test of our guys in how they will deal with it.

Not overly confident, but go BLUES!

Of the teams ahead of us, (other than StK and Geelong)

Dogs lost to Geelong,
Brisbane play St Kilda
Port play Sydney in Sydney.

Very tough games for all three and we have a far superior percentage to all three.

Third spot is ours for the taking

I would play Gibbs on McLeod, rather than JR - he is a big game player, in a VERY big game for him.

Have to back our engine room today to provide more scoring opportunities for us and limit opportunities for the Crows forwards to kick a winning score.

Looking for the Hammer to stretch out today in the space of AAMI & rack up some possies.

They try to clear the ball out of defence with handball through the corridor. You only need to apply a little bit of pressure for them to cough the ball up. Let players like Chris Knights get possessions - they won't hurt you, he may even turn the kicks over. Tippett was good last week running back towards goal...we have to limit his ability to have one on one contests, so getting plenty of numbers back.

Looks like Scotland is out. Wiggins in.

Setanta may come in as well.

Will be a great day for the footy ! Overcast, no chance of rain, wind will dy down by match time.

Looking forward to giving it to the Crows morons !!

Alright, I'm off to the footy now.

You guys can enjoy a match thread without me carrying on for a change.

CARN BLUES!!!

Massive game for us today re our chances of making the 8, and its yet another hoodoo game, which we ain't won any of this year. Boys will be pumped and should be too good, especially if they can quieten the crowd by getting on top early. Baggers by 6 (goals).

Looking for some yarran magic today - competitive hard fought win today would prove we are worthy to play in finals -unlike other games interstate this year need to show greater intensity -and put scoreboard pressure on early

If Carlos comes in could it be for Jamo?

Wiggins

Oh yeah, he's our lead up forward.

He should win in the game for us off his own boot.......maybe if it was rounds 1 and 2.

Midfield, and not Ratts' strange decision to continue to carry Wiggins in the hope he returns to NAB/ rounds 1-2 form, that will get us over the line.

I just can't understand the message from Ratts by selecting Wiggo. It's all wrong. A game of Russian Roulette. Not my cup od tea.

Should have selected Setanta to combat the Crows' only strength over us in the last 2 outings.

Come on Mids and Forwards...lets kick the winning score.

Carlton by 36 points...1 point will do though.
