Always plenty of Carlton people around. Just go to where the Carlton Bays are and there will be a seat or two spare. Or do as I do and go and sit behind the Adelaide Cheersquad at some stage and yell out "Bryce, the father/son rule is great"

Just watched the Collingwood game having been away for the weekend.
Prefer no change.
I'd give Yarran another week. Maybe give Garlett another taste after that.

At the moment we are a reasonable chance for finals this year but we are also playing for development.

It would do Yarran good to string another AFL game.

That chase he did on Heath Shaw would have done him a world of good. If he did that for 20 of the 45 minutes it would do him good to keep the pressure up to push himself.

He may more get more out of less minutes in the AFL than from a lot of minutes in the VFL.

But I supose in a round about way we are carrying a player with him with a view to develop them in the AFL.

If Yarran got dropped, (or maybe even Browne) I would like to see one of Houlihan and Anderson take their spot, preferably Houlihan if we are looking to keep focussed on kicking a winning score from multiple goalkickers.

Play for a win.

Last year their ruckmen tore us a new one deep in the forwardline...Moran, Tippett and whoever the other nightmare was kicke a half dozen in our 5 point loss.

I think our midfield would stem supply back there and should be OK, but if we need height then its got to be Setanta (I'll leave that to Ratts). Hampson is the other who I have considered favourably for a KP forward or defence, but I want him as the first ruckman, so Kreuzer can spend some time forward with Fevola and Waite whilst the football world get use to the phenomena in Hammer.

Doesn't look good for Grigg at the moment, given he's been out of action for a while; I can't see him being selected.

I really like that Austin can be part of a rotation bewteen Fwd and back...mix it up.

Where are the Carlton Bays? near the Carlton Cheer Squad? Doesn't seem like there is many seats left on Ticketmaster.....

Sitting behind the Crows Cheersquad and hanging shit does sound like fun.....

Houla and Wiggo are not wanted nor are Cloke, Fisher and Carrazzo.

Carrazzo's 2 games this year against the Bulldogs and Hawks have been outstanding.

Agree. Carazzo is in our best 22 IMO. Ball magnet, has footy smarts and very good in close with his hands. Would much prefer him to Hadley any day.

At the moment we have achieved nothing and every loss takes us one step away from playing finals footy. Yet to be convinced that they have gotten rid of the show pony/look at me element that exists with some players.

Robinson is the type of player that you need in the team just for his attitude alone - no show pony/instead there is 100% attack at all times.

Some of the more experienced players could learn from the young bloke.

Like to see Hammer spend more time in the ruck and Kruezer more at FF.

Fev will be picked up by Rutten and Kruezer and Waite up fwd will really stretch the Crows.

Crows are struggling and applying a poor man's zone which falls apart after half time. Looking at 5 losses in row and haven't won at AAMI this year.

This is one of those should win games for us.

Bays 118/119. refer to the link.

The game will be close to a sellout, as there are a megaload of Carlton people over here who flock to the game.

They're going to have to play Setanta to mind a tall forward. We cannot afford to lose Waite to defence (and he's too short anyway) and they'll play Moran and Tippett up forward, like they did last year, at any opportunity.

Love Austin and jamison but they're too short and Tippett is having a good solid season and has good hands.

Prefer Setanta IN.

browne jamison thornton
scotland austin bower
simpson gibbs stevens
robinson waite yarran
betts fevola kreuzer

hampson judd murphy

hadley armfield russell joesph

no change thanks.
fantastic games from austin and hampson.
austin down back gives us some freedom for waite to go forward and should play forward.
robinson hard as they get, something that we need, skills to match.
with hampson playing well in the ruck its takes the pressure off kreuzer, like hampson forward also.
no bock or shirley this week will help.
must win game.
lots of man love for judd.

Yeah we tend to have a bit of trouble with this mob. May be our turn though.

I completely understand.

I feel better knowing we can get him to pinch hit.

I like the idea of Kreuzer and Hammer rotating in a FP and I/C bench, and Waite HF.

Fevola to kick a goal after the siren for a win!

We owe them. :fight:

Having read the match report on the Blueseum from the round 18 Crows match last year, it was that resting ruckman, Brad Moran, who killed us in the end. We fielded a pretty decent team with Walker, Grigg and Carrots, but for some reason we just didn't convert our chances. I'm a nervous about this game, if we played like we did against Collingwood I fear we'll be in the poo and go down by a kick again.

Let's not forget last year's game was where the umpire got in Fev's way when Fev marked and Fev tripped over said umpire but play wasn't called to a halt but play on.

Seriously WTF?

It killed the momentum which was on a roll at that point in the game.

The AFL have deemed that umpiring decisions or non-decisions cannot constitute a "turning point" in a game.
Turning points can only be player-initiated events.
