Hard to know what to expect from one week to the next at the moment.

If we turn up to play (as stupid as that is).......and make the most of our opportunities, we’ll win.

I'd give Yarran another couple of weeks, he'll be learning plenty about the pace of AFL footy.

We really need to win these games if we're to develop into a premiership contender. The Crows are nothing special and good teams roll the ho-hum teams no matter where the game's played.

..the thing is, while the team carries Yarran to aid in his development, we run the risk of not having the strongest team we can field.. ..we're not good enough that we can play kids for their development and keep our eyes focused on finals action.. ..the years too even, and we've lost games we should have won,, for us to be thinking we can rolls teams and carry 'passengers'.. ..plus, it's a roadtrip..

..we've already got a bunch of kids playing, how many kids do we want in the team..?..

We don't exist to just make the finals ..we exist to win Grand Finals.

I'd keep Yarran for another week or 2 then rotate with Garlett.

Why people want to go backwards and bring back Houla I'll never know. HE WAS AGAIN FOUND OUT AGAINST HAWTHORN ... MOVE ON!!

Out: Yarran
In: Garlett

Need to go like for like and Yarran has had two games and needs game time in the Bullants.

Garlett has been as good if not better than Yarran and deserves another go.

Including Cloke, Wiggins or Houla is adding to our problem of pace and only a step backwards.

I hope that the real Carlton turn up.

I am going to the game and cant stand losing to the Cows.

I would leave Yarran in and go with an unchanged line up.

We need pace against the Cows and Houla and Wiggo are not needed for this game.

Houla and Wiggo are not wanted nor are Cloke, Fisher and Carrazzo.

I'd be giving Yarran another 1 or 2 weeks so he has had a decent taste. I'd also look to replace him with Garlett if he was to be dropped, not Houlihan at this stage.

I tend to agree. We need some more pace. Yarran needs to be more involved though. I reckon as his confidence begins to rise his improvement will be almost instantaneous.

I wouldn't mind seeing Garlett, Yarran and Betts in that forward line at the same time. A couple of talls around them i.e. Fev and Kruezer/Waite...

Yarran could have suffered stage fright. Im sure the thought of playing a ripping game infront of 82,000 would have ventured through his thoughts at some point during the week.

Also, the pies gave us no room to move. The pressure was high, at no stage was it a free flowing game and even the best found it hard to find space.

I'd rather Yarran backed in by his coach than see Cloke, Fisher or Carrazzo take the field.

The boy needs confidence (and a good preseason)

id like the give yarran one more game, against the crows, then give him a rest and bring garlett back in if he's available.

Neither would I :smoking:

Just at the moment Yarran needs game time and probably needs to go back to Bullants for a run. He will get more chances during the year.

Like to him play HBF for Bullants and work off an opponent and use his skills to creat attack. Good chance to learn more.

Agreed C....back in the Ants he'll have the opportunity to have increased game time and as it is now - that isn't going to happen. I don't think we can afford to have someone on the ground for only 45 minutes against the Crows at AAMI. Hoops should come in this week and that should be the only change seeing as the Bullants didn't play...Browne to stay in if the conditions are going to be a bit wild and woolly which it looks as though it might be.

Doc

Would prefer Garlett or Anderson, can handle Houlihan just not Cloke or Wiggins. :banghead:

The serial pest in Shirley won't play as he'll be suspended from the SANFL, so Juddy will have a field day.

This is good news!
My only change would be:
Out: Yarran
In: Houla

I'd rather see Yarran play a full game in the midfield for the Bullants and hopefully get a good dose of leather poisoning.

I'm in Adelaide for work, anyone know how to make sure I'm sitting among Carlton supporters at this game?

Cos he's a better option than Wiggo, Cloke or Fisher.
Pity Grigg and Walker aren't fit.

The Carlton Football Club has secured some additional seating for members at AAMI Stadium in bay 118. Tickets are strictly limited and we advise you contact Ticketmaster on 1300 136 122 to secure your seat if you haven't already done so.

Bay 119 is sold out.

Limited tickets are still also available in Northern Grandstand section L.

Enjoy a Carlton victory with fellow members and supporters by sitting in either of these sections.

GO BLUES!
I think that answers your problem Yibbida.

I dont want to sit with the Cows either.
