Hardly anything mentioned about anyone else but Fev ???

What a fantastic discussion. People discussing the points and raising their various arguments. Not having one point of view rammed down our throats by particular 'personalities'.

FWIW, in my opinion Josh has it pretty spot on with his balance comment. Go out and have a good time, sure. But back up and do the work on the track afterwards.

Could the problem be that Fev is such a good bloke that all the young fellas latch onto him like the pied piper. And while Juddy is respected he's not really 'liked' as such?

I hear this, I hear that. I read nothing at all and not even the parasite Hutchy could raise any interest. No matter how much you try the media will get it somehow. I've seen nothing. Would guarantee we would've read all about it, especially being Fev. Sounds like lots of rumour started by some dill on BF (yes BF so that tells you something) with nothing concrete. Fev's always will be Fev and still kicked 100 goals last year. Saturday night is 7 days before the next game, in this case 8. As long as it stays there I don't see where the problem is. Sure they're in fine shape by the next week. Don't think we're any different to any other club, even Geelong. Ask Stevie J.

So much rumour, exaggeration and pananoia.

Has Fevola not been putting in on the track? His 99 goals last year was nothing to sneeze at. I'd say he got the balance pretty much right in 2008. This year he's hardly been woeful, though I agree he wasn't too good last weekend, he did seemed hampered a little though.

Got no problem with him letting his hair down after that Hawthorn game. Much prefer him out enjoying himself as opposed to holed up somewhere fuming and making himself feel worse about hitting the post.

It might be for some. There are people here that have had an axe to grind with Fev since 2002. I love the bloke but he is a leader now and he has to understand that the young blokes gravitate to him and follow his moves. If he's out till 6am they think 'well why can't I do that'. They might not be able to back up as well. There are other leaders I am more worried about. Blokes that dont' mind a beer and have never hidden the fact. It's a slightly disturbing trend.

Fev is a leader by default only. He is not a leader in the true sense of the word especially when used within a team environment.

Should players need to be told that staying out on an all night bender will hinder their performance? Should they need a curfew? I don’t go out on the piss on a Sunday night for many reasons, one being that I’ll know I’ll be rat shit all week.

Never heard that we had a cultural problem in 79, 81 and 82. Only St Kilda had one. Reason? We were winning and they were losing.
End of story.

Well it is 2009 and we're losing and St Kilda is winning. :sly:

The comments on CSC are interesting.

Ratts embarassed several players? Or did they embarass themselves and can't handle the criticism? Tissues needed? More HTFU bands?

See IMO 3am in a hotel bar is completely different to 7am in Melbourne City.

We'll know on Sunday around 5pm what's going on. Big game you could say.
