Swanny must have got to him...didn't think he had another string to pull...we've covered up a fair bit this year - do the players think they can stuff around and all will be swept underneath the carpet everytime...? I wonder what favours we owe some of the media now...I would think quite a few.

I am stunned? I was waiting for them to go to town on him. Guess we'll have to wait for Caro...

i think it might've helped fev's cause a little that he is a regular on the show and probably mates with the producers/hutchy.

So all the "eye witness" accounts on BF are false ? Doubt it, but if Fev & co. have got away with it, then surely now is the time for the club and leadership group to ensure it doesn't happen again. Massive chance to play finals this year....let's not blow it.

Hmm, well maybe the 80s are back.

And maybe disciplined, professional players that don't drink to excess and smoke and stay out until 8am on a regular basis aren't actually proven to recover better and be less prone to injury than those that do.

And maybe Carlton players have nothing to prove, despite having achieved nothing as a group.

Maybe I shouldn't be concerned that a group of "mature" players are passing on their "habits of highly unsuccessful footballers" to the group of greenhorns we all hope will be involved in success.

Carlton appears to have a very weak culture. And it won't be repaired by coddling them. Geelong turned into one of the greatest teams ever on the back of honest assessments. Were Houlihan and Grigg suspended? If so, why wouldn't the club announce it? I would think a strong club would announce it. The media can be used to motivate players not to be idiots, if clubs feel secure enough to expose things.

N.B. I'm not a wowser - I like a beer and a smoke, and I don't mind seeing players with a beer.

Our culture was far from perfect even when we were successful......
