This side will be suited to the MCG and doesn't need to be tall against Collingwood.

Defensively strong and has genuine goalkicking options. Stevens to play in bursts when heat out of game.

Lots of options through the midfield and not to tall (which has been a problem) in defence giving us run.

Guys like Armfield, Joseph, Anderson, Browne to run the lines and take the game on!

This side will win by 16 goals.

That does look like a good side!

Who is it missing?

Footy Magnets!! the only way to do your team for the week.

Couldn't be stuffed drawing lines, but you can pretty much get the drift of how I'd like our stucture to be this week. Start picking :yikes:

I'd love to see those 4 you've named on the bench in the bullants and replaced (in an injury free world) with Grigg Walker Carazzo and ???

I agree! The fourth member would be Garlett for me. That kid has something special.

Yep that was the name I'd forgotten.

We really need to inject speed into the lineup.

there is only one way we are going to play good footy and beat all sides....

Get Judd, Murphy, Fev and Gibbs out of the team and force some lazy duds to do the hard Work and they will. All of our B Graders have talent and are more than capable but they have a bad habit of relying on the A Graders to do the job....

After such a performance last week, the team sheet of Collingwood is irrelavent....

well it doesnt have to be a joke....

Remember our NAB game against Geelong? we played with our B & C Grade Team, and they had no choice but to work hard and they did with great results....

The problem is them.. its not Judd nor Fevola nor Murphy.

Some B Graders are either Proven Hacks that will never improve or ones that u have to spank to snap them out of their poor and lazy Form...

You're right on the mark when you say other than those 3 or 4 we have a lot of hacks...but a different coach may be able to drill those hacks into being very good footballers....

Where is your faith?

We are still a young team.

We have come so far.

We are growing!

I was being sarcastic dude...I know exactly where we are as a team and how long we have to go believe me.

Like to se Wiggins, Cloke, Russell, and Simpson dropped and Robbo, Browney, Joey and Sentanta come in. I reckon Setanta should be tried at CHF or maybe even in the middle as a Ruck-Rover given his pace and agility. Thought he was good there against the Dogs and if Cloke can be persevered there for so long given his limitations Santy is worth defo a shot.

Wil be very dissapointed in the MC if Cloke and Wiggins are in the line up again. Enough is enough for flowers sake.

Cloke and Wiggins simply must be dropped. Wiggo has been bad for 3 of the last 4 weeks and cloke has been deplorable for near on the entire season. Both are giving us nothing at the minute. Have had a third of the season to cement their spot and haven't. Someone else's turn IMO

I know Fev has bent Collingwood over many a barrel, but if he is not fit PLEASE don't play him.

Swap Fevola for Jamison.

Jamison couldn't even spoil Peake because he couldn't lift his right arm up and get a fist on it.

We're risking further damage by playing Jamison if he needs surgery.

Over-confidence is JUST as bad as under-confidence.

People think under-confidence is worse, but it isn't.

I am tipping the Pies even with all their injuries unless the proper changes to the team are made. Good selection policy= good footy.

Strange philosphy and one that winning Carlton teams have never implemented.

Be confident and then take it up to them on the field.

Believe in your skills and be tough.

Sell yourself and believe in yourself else others will trample over you.

I have mixed feelings about this side ..............

They are going to be going in with a WEAKENED (not dead) forward line (Dawes and Reid are reportedly doing well in the VFL and Anthony will be coming back). That said the Docker's and Essendon* both had weak or out of form forward lines leading up to our games ........... Show them too little respect (like we did the Dockers last week) and we will lose ..........

I can't see a team with Grigg as an emergency and Russel in it. Grigg has A LOT more strings to his bow, and would have him in the side over Russel in a heart beat !!!!!!!!!

Wiggins troubles me ............ Looks important for our "structure" but has gone missing since having a good start to the season, and can't kick for goal to save his life. That said, his role is to take marks and link up going into the forward line, and to take a whole 2 UM against Freo .......... He needs to go back to the VFL ...........

I also don't think Houlihan should have been dropped when he was ........... He is talked up as a soft, unaccountable player but I think he has been harshly judged. I can remember him going at quite hard a number of times and having to do a double take when I realised it was Hoops. He is averaging 3.5 tackles from his 6 games which is pretty good compared to some of the other players in the side (Armfield (2.2), Russel (3), Wiggins (4.1), Joseph (2.6), Gibbs (3.9), Murphy (3.9)). I am not saying he is up to the standards of a Gibbs or Murphy, but to rule his as soft is pretty harsh. He also give us a bit of class with the delivery into the forward 50 (something lacking on the weekend) and can kick a goal himself.

So my team would look like

FB: Armfield Jamison Thornton
HB: Anderson/Browne Bower Grigg
C: Joseph Gibbs Houlihan
HF: Betts Waite Robinson
FF: Yarran Fevola Kruezer
RR: Hampson Judd Murphy

Int: Hadley Scotland Austin Stevens
Emerg: Bannister Garlett Russell

I like Armfield in the backline and think we need to get it settled !!!!!!!!!!! Thornton still starts as the 3rd tall defender but Austin covers him (and the rest of the backline) Grigg to come in for Russel (who is unlucky to be dropped !!!!!) and one of Anderson or Browne to come in (don't know about their respective form enough to make the call which one to include) (I could see that being our backline in the future .............). Collingwoods ruck division is weak at the best of times, so Hampson should be thrown the challenge to ruck the majority of the game and Kreuzer played as a 3rd tall/link up player (ala a Wiggins role except with skill). If Kreuzer needs to ruck while Hampson is on the bench then Austin comes forward. If Waite is in the forward line then play him at CHF. If the defence is getting pumped then move Waite up back and bring Austin into the forward line.
