It depends on the situation. I used to get angrier about all the unconvincing wins we used to have post 95 knowing that the ones doing all the work were the same old aging faces.

The fact that we have a lot of parallels with Saint Kilda a handful of years ago should be looked at philosophically. The fact that they have better Key-position players is cautionary rather than the direct point.

It depends on when the game is.

If it's Friday night, I go to bed in a really shitty mood, and I avoid the sports section of the Saturday paper. Don't listen to the pre-game on the radio either. Really ruins my Sat morning. But by about Saturday afternoon, I'm over it.

If it's Saturday afternoon, it really ruins my Saturday night.

If it's Sunday, I'm shitting all afternoon, but the working week soon snaps me back to reality.

Of course, after the '93 GF I was shitty for a solid week. And after that Hawthorn match last week, I was pretty pissed-off for a few days.

After the loss on saturday I had my laptop with me and threw the mouse into the wall. There is a little dent in the wall now to remind me of that crap Carlton dished up.

All losses are dissapointing but it depends on the effort and the performance put in. Im still doing it hard about the Essendon* loss.

Haha I thought that's what everyone did. I used to get very angry and depressed after the ole 80 point spankings when there was almost no hope other than maybe a draft pick, the games were soooo bad. But this season I remain optimistic cause we're on our way. But when and if we reach elite level and don't perform .... Then I guess I will be angry. Depends on the situation.

I live with an Essendon* supporter so my mood directly relates to whether or not Essendon* won...if Essendon* win and we lose I'm in a shit for the whole week.

When I am home I feel a bit down after a loss and usually undertake some gardening therapy. I think Mrs Blue enjoys Carlton losses because the lawn gets mowed etc.

This week I was a bit more down than usual having travelled from Darwin to Gold Coast for the game.

Getting back to the motel ( Royal Pines Resort) and seeing the bar full of Dockers players didn't help much. But was cheered up by seeing Robert Walls and commentary crew at the table next to us. Also shared commisserations withTim Lane, when we were jostling to order a drink at the bar, and again ended up in the queue next to him at breakfast and sat at adjoining tables. After that I stopped stalking him.

Wearing a Carlton polo T shirt seems to encourage lots of people to have a chat which can help ease the pain of a loss.

To top off a dissappointing weekend, I went to the rugby league game at Suncorp on Sunday with my two sons (one from Darwin and one from Brisbane) and we watched their side (Broncos) get beaten 22 -20 by Manly after the Broncos had lead 16 zip at half time. Sons have asked me not to go to footy with them in future as they think I am a jinx.

Depends on who the match was against. Last week against Hawthorn I was crushed, but got over it pretty quickly on the understanding that it was a fantastic game.

Normally I get angry in the sense of smack-the-newspaper-on-the-bench-several-times to relieve any frustration. And I get all sullen and "Don't ask"-y if anyone asks the result. I generally stay pretty grumpy until about the day before the game, but not so much that I stop functioning.

Of course, living in a rugby league-dominated state doesn't help the mood...
