While we're at it - let's resurrect Worrall and make him coach. We'll be the best team in the colony!

Totally wrong.
He is double the size due to the fact that he can't train and his knee is bone on bone.

Did Kennedy stand up against a Melbourne backline which lost Rivers and Frawley during the game?

Kennedy should have pantsed them with Garland out.

That trade also gave us Armfield at pick 46.

So in effect we swapped Judd and Armfield for Masten and Kennedy :thanks:

I don't care, he'd give us something to kick to at least.

What do people think of the Judd trade now? I thought at the time that it robbed US of much needed depth and a key position forward. Over a year down the track, and Judd, whilst playing well, is still not as good as he was, Carlton are still in need of extra talls and badly lacking for depth (look at their list, there's 15-20 players who will struggle to make it at AFL level).

Murphy and Gibbs are both having better seasons than Judd - question is - is it worth adding another midfielder, to an already good group, at the expense of pick 3, 20 and a promising tall forward in Kennedy? I reckon if Kennedy develops into a quality player, the deal's a bit of a dud for the Blues. Would have been a certain dud if we were talking about picks in last year's draft, was much stronger than 07's and I'd rather have picks 3 and 20 alone than Judd. Remember that Fev is 28 and injured often, and they still don't seem to have anyone to replace him. KP forwards are not easily found and take time to come on. Kennedy could end up being a massive loss. With a weak defense and weak forward line, they'll be relying on their midfield to win them games - could work, but they still need some players of quality around them.

You cant be serious questioning Judd coming to Carlton and the impact he has had on the playing list. I must be watching different games if you think that Murphy and Gibbs have had better seasons than Judd. If the b & f was counted now Judd would be ahead closely followed by Murphy, Gibbs has had some good games but nowhere near Judd. Do you think Murphy and Gibbs would be as good as they are if Judd wasnt in the midfield taking on 2 taggers?
Yes, we do need another forward but to say Fev is always injured? When the last time he missed a game? Fev still has 3-4 good years left in him.
It is pointless comparing the 07 and 08 drafts as we wouldnt have probably given up those picks in such a good draft as last years was.
Judd is the reason other players want to come to Carlton, including Warnock.

cannot pull a negative out of the Judd trade. I wish JK all the best but there are 3 or 4 JKs in every draft, and it still boggles me that people liked Masten as a player. Judd makes it enjoyable to watch Carlton again.
