PRO'S:
Murphy was our best
Judd and Gibbs were good
Armfield has a real dip
Yarran has a lot of promise, similar to a cyril rioli, at the least an andrew lovett
Oh and Kreuzer.. Has shown a lot all year, very tough for him tonight! Did some good work around the ground but got given a harsh lesson by a superstar in Sandilands in the ruck..

CON'S:
Just about everything else..
Wiggins not good enough tonight
Cloke's downside is a worry
Thornton fumbling
Fev's injury and perhaps his attitude at times (what do you expect when his teammates are dishing up shit!)
Bower was average tonight..

Was more so our disposal efficiency.. We were SHIT in that area tonight, our field kicking, fumbling under pressure was terrible.

How are we expected to make the finals when we play shit and lose to a mob like the bombers and then again tonight. Just shows we leave the work to too few in our side..

We could nearly call this thread CONS and CONS.

Absolutely pathetic, supposed to be provin we're a top 4 contender and we play like a bottom 4

PROS:
Judd
Murph(majority)
Kreuzer around the ground
Gibbs
Joseph/Army provided speed
Bower was servicable
Yarran will come along

CONS:
Would of been better off fielding 21 players than what Fev provided(although shit F50 entries gave nothing)
FUMBLES and MISSED H/B's and KICKS both under pressure and not
Those who wanted Cloke and Wiggo dropped should get there wish
Maybe Hoops kickin into the 50 could of helped
Betts had a shocker
Cracked under pressure in the backline
No run/chase
Always outnumbered
3-4 now when we had chances to be 5-2 at worst

Pros
Murphy, Judd, Gibbs

Cons
Second worst list in the competition (after Melbourne). The team is being carried by 3-4 players every week.

Nick Stevens was a disgrace.
Soft!!!!!
Obvious to see why he was overlooked as captain. :banghead: :banghead:

Pros:
He's got BB to defend him!

the story of our season to date, but in reality, not good enough to take the opportunities

yep, we have lost by 4,4,7 and 17

and all four losses we gave ourselves enough opportunity to win them, but didnt take them.

we could, and more correctly should be sitting around 5-2, rather than 3-4

we have improved immensley this season, but we need to take the next step again before we can remotely be considered a top 4 side.

we certainly have the potential, if we live up to the potential is another matter all together.

too many people down tonight, and the last few weeks.

cant help but feel moving that game has cost us 4 points. Is 400k really worth it in the scheme of things?

Well I know what I wrote and I did not say we were great nor did I imply it.

And I don't agree Bower was great, he did a few good things tonight, but he played a lot like a startled rabbit, as did quite a few others.

There were two schools of thought last week: those who couldn’t hide their glee at getting close to the reignning premiers (a shocking mindset), and those who thought we did enough to win comfortably but failed due to underlying structural issues and poor coaching.

Surely the last 24 hours have proven the former group to be delusional.

For the second week in a row our highly talented youngsters have gone out there and shown unbelievable individual efforts, combined with the fact that they have no specific gameplan or set up to guide them.

WE SHOULD BE DISPOSING OF TEAMS LIKE FREO WITH OUR TALENT.

We are structurally inept.

The players may be playing for Brett Ratten – but they haven’t been taught how to play to a useful structure for him! The players are great but they have no idea, no structure!

Pros

1. Bower’s great

2. Murphy

3. Kreuzer

4. Judd

5. waite

It’s the same every week isn’t it?

CONS

1. When our players go forward, is there a forward structure that they have been taught to follow? No. Brett Ratten has failed to teach these blokes anything but “kick it to Fev”. Last week we had 31 I50’s to 19 at half time and trailed. Some thought that we were great (Headplant, Blue Vain especially vocal). But it reared it’s ugly head again tonight. We have no structure!

2. Do we know how to play whole team defence, like any other good team in the comp? No! It’s six on six in our back half, not 18 on 6 like it should be.

3. Have our players been taught to stand goal side at defensive stoppages? If they have, they don’t get it.

4. Cloke and wiggo are struggling. Stevo struggled

5. Jammo looked out of sorts. Injured?

We are underachieving with our talent and the coach has to wear some of it!

If Neil Craig or Paul Roos were coaching this team surely we'd be seeing a better product from our pool of talent

Sad night tonight Simon ...... Agree with everything you've written there. Jammo I think has been favouring that shoulder ever since he's come back (appears a bit tentative). Sad last week but really hurts tonight.

Wow, even though Freo were flooding, that is a simply horrible indictment of our forward efficiency and play in general.

Pro:

The positive is that there are 2 dominating teams and from 3 down to 14 it is very tight. So IF the team improves and can find some of the form and intensity of the first 2 rounds - then we are still in with a shot. Things can quickly go to shit, but they can also quickly turn around.

PRO - we are going to see Robbo (Woody) run around for the Blues again next week, the young bloke is going to have a ball in front of a bumper crowd at the MCG
- More of the substandard players in the team will be culled, I think the team is going to look very very good in a week or three. Nice that we can start to get the decent players into the team and not get thrashed and lose that percentage. I'm still very positive about the rest of the season, the draw is very good.

I disagree,

Really puts me off the game when we are doing something like that, quite simply we sold our home ground advantage to play on a neutral ground. I'd take a loss every week if we get the 4 points.

Gee, you must have been sitting in front of your computer just waiting for the siren to go hey?

For the record, no one was struggling to hide their glee at losing to the reigning premiers. Some of us are just realistic about where we're at.
The coach cant get out there and kick the ball through the @#$%&! sticks for them. Due to restructuring and good coaching we dominated the 3rd quarter, only to see players spray their shots. 3.11 to 3.5 after half time. It's not like the players were'nt handed easy opportunities.

But hey, if blaming the coach gets some posters busting out the front of their pants, I hope you all go ahead and get your rocks off. :smoking:

PROS:
- Waite up forward. Is he our CHF?
- Murphy = Gun
- Judd = Messiah
- Yarran and Austin looked promising

CONS:
- Gibbs. My 4 year old sister has more penetration in her kicks. Too fancy, never takes first option.
- Cloke. OMG.
- Russell. WTF.
- Wiggins. Tries, but not up to the level.
- Our match committee. For the life of me, what are they doing this season?
