That is the most disappointing loss in a couple of years. There have been losses that have hurt like last week and against Essendon*, but we really should have won that game by 10 goals and to lose and only show a little bit of fight towards the end is very disappointing and if we don't start playing more consistent football we won't make the finals this year.

Enough skirting around the topic,

We don't had the skill for the game plan,

We overuse the ball,

We are turnover kings,

And to all those people who supported selling our home game - now who looks smart??????

Nice to think that 4 points is worth $300,000.

flower idiots

Do you honestly think that our record at Docklands would have guaranteed a win?

Maybe we should tank to take advantage of the last uncompromised draft?

$400,000 actually

oh that's okay then, $100,000 for each point.

Worst decision in recent times by our club.

Gee we have some ordinary players though, they either have skill but no heart, skill but no brains, heart but no skill or brains but no skill. Massive gulf between our top 3 players and the next group

I'd consider betting everything I own that Cloke, Wiggins and Russell will play next week.

Absolute ball-butchery.

You know when even Eddie starts missing easy snapshots it's just not happening.

I am so flower angry right now.

Russell had the chance to be a hero today and shove it up Walls's and half of TC's collective arse. Pity.

Thats the problem - we have no forwards running around in the Ants. Real problem.

Sadly there is not much that will or can be done. Only time, patience and sticking to a plan will work.

How courageous will we be? Too many mentally soft players.

Freo are probably not that bad, they beat Sydney, something we could not do.

There are not too many to replace those that are not up to it!

In for the long haul people.

I like your optimism Taff ... I am just gutted at the moment.

Really, really poor today but your right ... no quick fix.

Just hate that when they are good they are great but when they are bad they are rabble

disappointing loss. Don't be fooled by the margins we've lost games this year. We are far from being a hard working side.

We have been outplayed by opposition sides we were supposed to beat.

I don't want to hear the fact that we dominated in this stat, that stat, but couldn't convert. To coin an apt phrase relating to our situation from our previous coach, "nobody wants to hear about the labour pains, they just want to see the baby".

Time to make some tough calls on a few blokes who have been regular fixtures during recent years. Buggered if I know who to replace them with, though...

That's our problem!

No, you have it a*** up.

I'm going to be got-at for this but I don't care.

We don't have anyone to replace them with because we don't make the tough calls.

We lap up the cream then we top-up afterwards, even if some of them happen to be kids we want them there pretty much straight away so don’t get the real potential.

Add to that the fear of trading anyone unless there is a big name attached at the other end.

I've said before that I believe something has got to give and I fear it may be too late for players like Stevens and Scotland to name a few.

If Fev was unfit then why was a run on player?

There was an emergency player with the squad.

You do not come off in the first minute of the game with an injury!!!

Waite could and did play at Full Foward.

This is another display of poor tactical structure and inefficient ball use.

Compare this game to Essendon*'s game on Friday. The comparison shows we do not have enough players with committment , skill or speed to move the ball to advantage.

2009 does not look like a Finals year at 3 wins 4 losses from 7 games.

Ok the last half of the season is largely played in Melbourne so it is possible that more wins than losses could result but we now look more like ending the year at around 11 wins and 11 losses at best. If tonight is an example of the effort and skill then number of wins will be lower than 11.
