I have never posted before to complain about anyone in the media, BUT I feel compelled to do so after hearing Rita on SEN in the last few weeks.

Last week she was incredibly disrespectful, almost defamatory in her comments about Dick Pratt at a very inappropriate time (completely unbalanced). When callers rang in to defend Pratt (or with a different opinion) she spoke over them, belittled them and then kept repeating the fact that they must just be a Carlton supporter and their opinion therefore was irrelevant. She was very rude to a couple of callers in particular, not letting them finish.

This week she said she loved the game last Saturday so much and has "never laughed harder" at Carlton supporters who thought Fev had kicked the winning goal.

Its fine to have a dig at opposing teams but Im over her Carlton bashing, treatment of supporters and callers and her comments about Dick Pratt were in bad taste, especially given the timing.

I like SEN and I have no problem with Mark Doran but I WILL NOT BE LISTENING whilst she is on his program!!

I visited an Onsen when I was in Japan a few years ago...found it to be quite a pleasant experience and far from disgusting...this one you refer to in Rita (?) doesn't sound good however.

I don't listen to 1116AM...but like TV - if you don't like it - change it...if you're offended - write the station manager a letter of complaint. BTW - who is she? Does she have any claim to fame?

Does she have anything to do with Margarine....oooh that is disgusting stuff.

Sounds like she uses the oldest trick in the book to get self importance...bag big targets!...

Would anyone know who David Irving is ..except that he's a holocaust denyer... couldn't make it as a writer, journo, academic, public speaker...etc etc...butsuddenly he's sipposed to be "someone" (albeit a dick!)

So she's a dick...good luck to her...unless she's the margarine lady, in which case she's got a lot to answer for

You really need to get a thicker skin.
It is her job to get people to react either positively or negatively. No reaction means no Rita.

Who in blue hell is Rita?

She's probably just someone who likes to get under people's skins, and by the sounds of things I don't think many would want to get under her's.

I understand that about the media. But if she has to use derogatory comments about someone who has just passed away, someone who has given huge a amount to the community, football and Australia at large, to get a reaction, then I wont be tuning in!

Yeh, at last check I was.

Seriously she hates Carlton. I listen to SEN at lunchtimes, and she is on, on Friday I think. I feel like switching off.

I was going to ring her and give her a piece of my mind one day, when she was talking about the salary cap issues, with Liberatore and stuff. She wont want me calling her, let me tell ya.

Passionate about my boys I am !!!!!!!!!

I can't stand her either, she hates Carlton

She really has no idea about anything to do with sport.

From memory she is married to Rohan Connelly (from The Age).

A few years back she bagged the absolute crap out of Nathan Buckley which caused a massive meltdown on their phone system. I think Mandy would remember :fight: :fight:
