Heard McClaren the umpire on the radio tonight. They asked if he spoke to the players during the game. He said that he and fev were asking each other how many were at the ground.

Try reading the article again. He is referring to the balls early in the game, he does not blame his last minute miss on the ball.

I thought the same thing, but let's face it Fev's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but when it comes to kicking footballs the blokes a genius. Last shot at goal excluded of course.
