What it showed to me and something that I always knew, is that Fev is a lot smarter and a deeper thinker than his public image would suggest.

I'm prepared to say that his interview was quite good - however I can't agree with you on the above. Peter Pan isn't quite the right analogy, but it ain't too far from the mark.

Fev isn't a deep thinker but he also isn't the complete buffoon that many people say he is. He's not exactly Peter Pan but he is at times like a big kid or even a naughty puppy.

A rep from Sherrin was on SEN this morning to back up Fev's comment and went onto to say that the AFL had contacted him about Fev's comments and will now allow the clubs to use the 6 match balls in their warm ups so that they have been kicked in.

Looks like the AFL was listening to Fev as well.
When they asked him about his kicking for goal he went on to make a point that new footballs are pointier and more difficult to kick early on in a game. They become easier to kick and rounder once they have been kicked in.
