I might be a little to critical here but Cameron Cloke should spend a week in the twos. What a weak and insipid performance by him yesterday

no way it this a 50/50

it's 50/50 maybe at subi.

If we play anything like the last 2 weeks we should be looking for a percentage booster.

I generally don't like to see a large number of changes to the team, but would like to use the Freo game to "rest" some players and take a look at some of the guys from the seconds

Hampson needs to come in this week !!!!!!! Kreuzer CANNOT be expected to ruck the whole game against Sandilands, and Cloke/Setanta arn't in the same league. The Cloke experiment has IMO been unsuccessful after 6 rounds, so it is time to try something else. Put Hampson in for Cloke and play Setanta as a CHF target. Even if he ONLY creates a marking contest for the crumbers then it will be a win IMO

Simpson has been pretty down in recent games (baring the Dogs game) IMO, and looked pretty sore after yesterdays game. Rest him for the week and bring Hadley back ino the side.

Bentley didn't work. Full stop. Send him back to the Ants and give him a chance to press for selection again in the future. Would like to see Robinson back into the side, pending form in the Ants today.

Grigg needs to be brought back into the side, and I think he can do the same job Russel does but be more damaging. I know, people will say Russel will be unlucky to be dropped, but isn't that the point ??? There is enough depth in the side that players will be unlicky to be dropped ...........

So my changes would be

In's. Hampson, Hadley, Robinson, Grigg
Out's. Cloke, Simpson, Bentley, Russel

After seeing who was best for Ants today I think we only really need to make 2 changes (barring how Simpson pulls up)

Out: Cloke, Bentley
In: Hampson, Robinson

If Simpson is out, bring in Austin.

In: Austin, Hadley

Robinson needs more time on the ball in the twos; build up that tank.

Waite goes forward, Setanta moves into full time ruck rotation. Austin takes Thornton's role, Thornton takes Waite's role.

Reasonably happy with the forward pressure Carrots is providing but I think we need a guy like Yarran or Garlett to come in at some point.

Setanta is holding Hammer out of the team until he can be called upon to take primary ruck or play a decent role up forward.

Key will be to choke Freo's run, because they don't have a lot of good disposers of the ball. If we allow them to open up their forward line we will make them look good.

A massive focus this week should be working on when and how to move the ball on; an amazing number of opportunities for knock-ons were missed last week and it really cost us.

After watching the Bullants today my changes would be:

In: Hampson Anderson Hadley/Bannister
Out: Cloke Setanta Bentley

Hammer in the ruck at home (Gold Coast) and Kruezer to play fwd.

Austin close.

Don't like the thought of our 19yo Kruise being pitted against the man mountain Sandilands this week.....a much different proposition to the Hawks ruck division or lack thereof.

In
- Hampson
- Grigg (if fit otherwise Hadley, Browne or Robbo)
- Austin

Out
- Bentley
- Cloke
- Setanta

From the Bullants reports it sounds like Austin's time has come.
Hammer can do the donkey work against Sandilands.
Kreuzer to spend more time up forward this week.....next week he can go back full time in the ruck against Collingwood (Fraser).

Wouldn't mind seeing this lineup this week.

B: Joseph Bower Jamison
HB: Anderson Thornton Gibbs
C: Stevens Judd Waite
HF: Houlihan Austin Garlett
F: Kruezer Fevola Betts
Foll: Hampson Scotland Murphy
Int: Russell Carrazzo Armfield Bannister

Won't happen but a few guys deserve their chance.

if we dont play a second ruckman kreuzer will not be playing in two or three years.
we MUST pick hampson as cloke and o'hailpin are NOT ruckman!!
outs; cloke, o'hailpin and bently
ins; hampson, austin and robinson
after watching the ants today, austin is ready and can play forward or back.
grigg still not playing and same with yarran so maybe a couple of weeks away.

Whilst getting the win yesterday, even the Dockers know they were ordinary in the first half and WCE let them off with wasteful finishing. They were pretty good against Sydney however have a woeful record of away post derby games, something like 2 from 12. Though the Gold Coast factor offsets this somewhat, by how much is anyones guess.

Crowley likely to miss, who would've been candidate 1 for Judd I would of thought. Palmer will also be missing from their midfield obviously.

We should have too much class for them and assuming we maintain our last 2 weeks form, we should win comfortably. Footy's a funny game though and I just hope the boys, MC and club are taking this game as seriously as the last couple. Any drop off in work rate and intensity and we'll be in a dog fight.

So we are 3-3 and have won 1 game in the last 4, and we are going to rest players (because they are 2-4 and not in our league apparently)!!!!

How about we concentrate on winning a game,ok?

Should not forget that we are still very inconsistent and no game for us is a gimmee.

First of four consecutive wins which will see the team entrenched in the top 4 of the ladder.

Far too many people getting way ahead of themselves here .
I seem to recall the same sorts of posts just before the Essendon* game .

Resting players , making unnecessary changes . All smacks of unjustified overconfidence .
Don't underestimate the " purple pansies ' .They made us look silly at Bunbury !

We need to take this game very seriously . No more selection " experiments " please .Pick the best available team .
Sandilands will win the ruck contests no matter who we put against him . Kreuse and Setanta can make him run hard and chase them around the ground , so should concentrate on that .
Our midfielders will have to concentrate on sharking the hitouts .

Hadley in for Bentley . If Simpson doesn't come up , bring Bannister in . Grigg will need a game in the twos before he comes back to AFL .

If we run and tackle like we did against Hawthorn , and take this mob seriously , we can win . If we don't we will lose .
