Freo will be coming off a Derby win and a milestone game. They also have to travel far. Looks good. Note WC score 9.20 !!!

My conservative estimate is an 80 point win with Carlton not bothering to come out of a canter.

Freo = shit.

Armfield was terrifc in the last quarter -his efforts nearly won us the game that smother and the run through the middle break the tackle and kick it to Fev was brilliant

Wiggens Russell and Houlihan won't get dropped

I forgot

Carrazzo for Grigg or Yarran

As for Armfield, yes he did a good smother and his kick was a panicked long kick that was lucky. He fumbled a hell of a lot today. :banghead:

Out
- Cloke
- Bentley

In
- Hampson
- Grigg/Hadley

If Yarran plays well I'd like to try and fit him in somehow.....ditto Browne, Robinson, Anderson and Austin.

Yup. No hope of beating Freo if a MASSIVE overraction like that was to happen.

We'd be a laughing stock.

Imagine if Fev didn't hit the post

How could we lose to such a crap team like the Hawks by 4pts?

Play like we did today and we flog Fremantle, simple as that.

This game is a danger game if we cannot come up with a way to stop Sandilands.
Rucks are not our strong point, to state the obvious.
Hampson has to play a part somehow I think. Whether we keep both Setanta and Cloke, or drop one, i'm not sure
Gibbs needs to be in the guts to shark it, and i think maybe Hadley would also be useful.

also:
PLAY YARRAN!

Sorry cj69, but I think that's a fairly massive over reaction. We just lost by 4 points to the reigning premiers in the best game of the season so far. I'm shattered we lost, but I'm proud of most of what I saw today. If we keep playing like that, we will be top 4, make no mistake. But that's a big "if". Consistency will be the big challenge for our developing team this year.

And I'm reserving my opinion on any changes for next week's game until at least after tomorrow's match...

As usual ABNS it was tongue in cheek but people don't seem to see that.

My point is that the outs I listed will not be there in the future and the Ins need to show if they are good enough becuase it is obvious that some players we saw today aren't.

OK, fair enough. Although I'm maybe not as pessimistic as you about some of your 'outs'. In fact, I thought Houlihan was quite good today. Armfield, JR, Wiggins & Carlos maybe didn't have their best games, but they were hardly awful IMO. I don't agree that you can categorically say none of them are good enough - based on today, and/or based on previous performances.

But I think you're right in the sense that we need pressure put on them from guys coming up from underneath.

Hopefully we are not too psychologically scarred after todays loss. We may come out flat next week but should have enough class to get over the line. I do not expect us to dominate and in fact this as is every game we play this year, is a danger game. The reason for this is that we are not yet consistent enough to classify any game as easy.

We let our guard down next week and we will lose. We need to be switched on maybe not for the full 4 qtrs but at least two IMO to beat this mob.
