Now this is all great for me having the chance to shake the mans hand and thank him and all pay my respects, but what about my kids who are both under 3? I would love the club to invest into a statue outside the club so when I do take my kids to Princes Park when they older and understand, I can point to the statue and say, this man saved my club, if it wasn't for him we wouldn't be standing here today.

Nicely put...thought had crossed my mind. Would still prefer Jezza's mark as a statue outside, but on entering Visy Park a larger than life painting of Richard Pratt with Premiership Cups would also be nice, and the first thing everyone sees.

RIP Mr Pratt. My condolences to the Pratt family. The fact that we can still say “Go Blues” is down to you. It’s a sad day.

:thanks:

R.I.P Dick, your love and support of our great club, especially in its darkest hour, will never be forgotten. May your culture of generosity and success be carried on by all at the CFC.

R.I.P Richard

I want to thank you for saving our wonderful club and help positioning it to prosper in the future.

I have friends who work at VISI and they just thought you were the most friendly person and always available for a chat when on the floor with the workers.

There are many charities that have benefited from your generousity.

My thoughts are with the Pratt family during this time.

RIP

Condolences to the Pratt family.

Thankyou Dick, for all that you have done in straightening this ship out. Rest assured, we will finish what we've started.

No state funeral has been offered or sought.

A memorial service has been offered by Brumby but no decision has been made at this time.

R.I.P Dick and condolences to the Pratt family.

You saved our club when it was in its greatest need and instantaneously restored our hope and belief - something which will never be forgotten and for which we are forever indebted to you.

May you rest in Peace.

Funeral is at 11am tomorrow.
It would be a nice tribute for TC to go "silent" for 10min or half an hour at the same time. Not sure how it would work though

Forever a spot in the Carlton Pantheon of greats!

Fixed what was almost unfixable.

RIP

A great leader in every sense of the word, a very strong mind and a big heart.
Also a quirky and interesting character from what I've heard.
